Walter Lee Dixon Jr.

Walter Lee Dixon, Jr., affectionately known as “Big Man” was born September 2, 1967 in Orlando, Florida to parents, Walter Lee Dixon, Sr. and Irma Jean Rackard. He attended the Orange County Public Schools and graduated from Evans high School in Orlando, Florida. After graduating high school, Walter enlisted in the United States Navy on June 7, 1988. On May 28, 1988, Walter married the love of his life. To their union, nine children were born. The two remained inseparable for thirty six (36) blissful years until his passing. Walter loved the Lord with all of his heart and soul. He was a loyal and faithful member of his church under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Gigi Palmer, where he was later ordained as a Deacon. Walter was an Entrepreneur who owned his own business as a non-emergency driver providing transport services to his surrounding community and local communities at large. He has a special love and compassion for everyone he put on board. He spent countless hours helping people in any way possible. His crowning achievement was his family. Walter was a WONDERFUL and AMAZING FATHER to his children. He was a devoted family man and took pride in spending time with is wife, children, and especially grandchildren. He was very outgoing and known to make others laugh. Cooking was one of his many gifts and favorite things to do. He often made things lively with his cooking and enjoyed home cooked meals with family and friends. Walter was preceded in death by his father, Walter Lee Dixon, Sr.; Mother, Irma Jean Rackard Dorsey; Brother, Isaac C. Dixon; and Son, Ikari A. Dixon Left to cherish his memory…His loving and devoted Wife of 36 years, Vonya H. Dixon of Apopka, Florida; his beloved Sons: Ikendia Dixon of Apopka, Florida and Ikzac Dixon of Casselberry, Florida; Daughters: Ikeymia Dixon of Orlando, Florida, Ikia Dixon of Tyler, Texas, Ikeisha Dixon of Orlando, Florida, Ikiya Dixon of Jacksonville, Florida, Ikara Dixon of Apopka, Florida, and Ikonya Dixon of Orlando, Florida; Brother, Willis Dorsey of Orlando, Florida; Sister, Teresa Dixon of Orlando, Florida; 3 Granddaughters: A’Koiya Nagasi De’April Dixon, Kalani Bastina Joseph, and Dakota Royalty Tanaje Burrell-Dixon; 2 Grandsons: Basten Walter Joseph, Jr. and Albert Jones, III; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, sorrowing friends, and his transportation family.
