Troy Leron Miller

Troy Leron Miller was the only child born on March 22, 1971, in Orlando, Florida, to parents Van Miller and Evelyn Baker. He attended the Orange County Public Schools and graduated from Apopka High School, earning his GED. After high school, Troy learned that he was great with his hands and embarked upon a career in the concrete industry as a concrete finisher. He truly enjoyed his work and took pride in all he put his hands to. He later learned and worked in the field of building and manufacturing various types of marble countertops for homes. He also enjoyed mobile detailing, which again showed just how much he enjoyed using his hands. Troy would often assist at the Marvin C. Zanders Funeral Home, detailing funeral procession vehicles when needed. He became an extended family member of the Marvin C. Zanders Funeral Home. Troy joined St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church at a very young age. He continued to keep sight of the Heavenly Father and would visit various churches in the Apopka, Florida area. In 2024, he rededicated his life to the Heavenly Father and continued his spiritual walk at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, under the leadership of Reverend Gerard A. Moss, Sr., visiting as often as possible until his health began to fail him. Troy was a unique person who captured everyone’s attention on every level. When he entered a space surrounded by family and friends with his great sense of humor and quick wit, he would leave everyone laughing and falling out of their seats. He did not just pour concrete; he poured his heart into every project. He lived life hard, loved deeply, and left a perfectly smooth finish on everything he touched. He has finished his final pour and hung up his trowel. May he rest in peace, as his legacy has been permanently set. Troy was preceded in death by his father, Van Miller; Mother, Evelyn Baker; and grandparents: Hosie Baker, Mae Willie Miller, and Ernest Gallon. He leaves to cherish his precious memories...his Son, A’keem Miller of Apopka, Florida; Sister, Angel Araiza (Luis) of California; Grandmother, Lauren Baker; Uncle, Hosie Lowery (Dr. Mary McWilliams) of Apopka, Florida; Aunts, Gayle M. Sinclair (caregiver) and Melinda Baker, both of Orlando, Florida; Godmother, LaTonya Alexander; his extended family, the Marvin C. Zanders Funeral Home Staff, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
