Deacon Robert Lee Bush Sr.

Deacon Robert Lee Bush, Sr. was born September 11, 1941 to Elijah Bush and Rosa Lee Bush in Waynesboro, Georgia, where he was raised. Robert attended the Burke County Public School Systems. He later moved to Florida where he met and married Mrs. Theresa Bush and to this union seven beautiful children were born, however, all of his children were united as one and eleven of us are proud to be “The Bush Family”. Robert was a hard worker and a great provider for his family. Robert drove Tractor and Trailer Trucks for the Orlando Sentinel for twenty plus years. Robert truly loved the Lord and enjoyed singing across the world. Deacon Robert Bush, Sr. gave his heart to Christ in 1974 and has been serving every since. He served faithfully as the Head Deacon at Zellwood Church of God in Christ. He later served as Head Deacon New Life Full Gospel Ministries and then onto Fresh Anointing Church of God in Christ. Later his children answered the call to ministry in 2014. This is when Refuge Tabernacle was established. Deacon Bush served faithfully at Fresh Anointing until the Lord led him to Refuge Tabernacle Ministries. Deacon Bush served faithfully as Head Deacon until the Lord called him home on Monday February 6, 2017. Deacon Bush loved to sing and he loved to pray. Deacon Bush was preceded in death by his father, Elijah Bush; mother, Rosa Lee Bush; sisters, Pastor Minnie L. Reddick and Leatha Bush; brothers, Willie James (Buddy), John Henry Bush and Coleman Bush (BJ). Deacon Bush leaves to cherish precious memories to: children, Lloyd Walker of Raleigh, North Carolina, George Bush of Zellwood, Florida, Tony Osborne (TaRara) of Tallahassee, Florida, Jacqueline Williams (Otis) of Apopka, Florida, Angel Bush (Rynette) of Orlando, Florida, Teresa Harris (David) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Tracie Luton, Rosie Johnson (Haissen), all of Apopka, Florida, Demetria Coston (Sean) of Orlando, Florida, Robert Bush, Jr. (Chanda) of Leesburg, Florida, and Krystal Bush (Jimmy) of Apopka, Florida; children that he raised, Cedric Williams, Roger Sirmans, Aaron Harris and Michelle Brand; thirty-nine grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; siblings, Pearl Mason of Zellwood, Florida, Lottie Ruth of Waynesboro, Georgia, Mattie Mae Walker of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Carrie Bush, Geneva Freeman and Frank Bush, Sr., all of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; special godchildren, Dexter Hughley, Terry Irby, Jerry Irby and Sherman Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
