Ricky Alexander Pollock

Ricky Alexander Pollock was born October 29, 1958 in Nafane, New York to parents, Richmond Pollock and Matilda Pollock. He graduated from Apopka High School in 1976. Immediately after graduating high school, he enlisted into the United States Army, where he studied Leadership Management Development, Platoon (NCI) as a Sergeant, and Performance Counseling as a Drill Sergeant. Ricky’s achievements while in the military, consisted of the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3rd ocue leaf cluster), Army Good Conduct Medal, (5th Award), Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas, Service Ribbon (3), NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Drill Sergeant, and Advanced Physical Security Training. While achieving so much in the military it was his time to hang up his career by retiring July 1994, with an honorable discharge as Staff Sergeant (E-6). Ricky loved the military and serving his country. Ricky and Andreameda were married on November 5, 1983 in Apopka Florida. As she joined him on his military journey, they traveled around the world together. In 1994, he retired and they settled in Orlando, Florida for the remainder of their 40 year marriage, as of November, 2022. After retirement from the military, Ricky was employed at the Juvenile Justice Department and Sealy Mattress for 10 plus year. After his retirement, he spent much time bonding with his children (Quwanda, Ricky, Jr., and Crist’ani) and enjoying hobbies such as fishing, watching his favorite teams (the Orlando Magic and Miami Hurricanes) and playing with his dogs (OG and Nayla). Ricky was a giver in his community and the love he shared with others will be dearly missed. Ricky was preceded in death by his Father, Richmond Pollock; Mother, Matilda Pollock; Brothers: Charles Pollock, Kelsey Pollock, Sr., Kendrick Pollock, Sr.; and Sisters: Vernita Pollock and Vivian Pollock. Left to cherish his memory are his Wife, Andreameda Pollock of Orlando, Florida; Children: Quwanda Pollock of Zellwood, Florida, Ricky Pollock, Jr. of Cocoa, Florida, and Crist’ani Pollock of Orlando, Florida; Brother, David Pollock (Betsy) of Apopka, Florida; Sisters: Alfreda Wright, (Johnny) of Apopka, Florida and Veronica Boyd of Boston, Massachusetts; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
