Reginald Sherrod Taylor

With hearts anchored in faith and love, we announce the passing of Reginald S. Taylor, age 56, of Eustis, Florida, who entered eternal rest and the presence of his Lord. Reginald was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Sandra Taylor, and a proud and loving father to his six children: Laraine Garner, Renee McLeod (Jeremy), Adrian Baker, Regina Taylor, Jerome Blount, and Latasha Taylor. He was a cherished grandfather to several grandchildren, each a precious blessing from God. He is survived by his four sisters: Angela Benford (Tiffany), Tammie Childs (Willie), Glenda Watson (Ron), and Crystal Brown (Michael), and his four brothers: Chaundee (Chelsea), Keith, Quinelle, and Lewis (Kamala). He also leaves behind a very special cousin, Dr. Arcolia Wakefield, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will continue to carry his love forward. Reginald was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Taylor Brown, Ruby Dinkins, and Solon Dinkins, and by his dear friend Rodney, whom he now rejoins in eternal peace. He is also survived by his lifelong best friends, Josh Conger, James Golden, and Reverend Scotty Clark, whose bond with him was rooted in loyalty, love, and brotherhood. A proud United States Army veteran, Reginald served his country with honor. After his military service, he answered a higher calling by dedicating his lite to serving individuals with developmental disabilities, and was the proud owner of RST Med Waiver Services-"Where Consumers Come First." Affectionately known as a "gentle giant," Reginald's strength was matched only by his kindness. Many described him as an angel walking among us, often recognized by the alligator charm he wore around his neck, a quiet symbol of his unique spirit and gentle presence. Scripture reminds us that "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23), a phrase that beautifully reflects the lite Reginald lived. Though we mourn his earthly absence, we rejoice in the promise that he is now whole, at peace, and embraced by God's eternal love. Reginald S. Taylor’s life was a testimony of service, humility and faith. His legacy will live on through his family, and the countless lives he touched. Until we meet again, we find comfort in knowing that he rests safely in the arms of the Lord.
