Paul Maynard Counts, Jr.

Paul Maynard Counts, Jr. was born on September 27, 1955 to Paul and Dorothy Jean Barrington-Counts in Mobile, Alabama. He grew up in Kissimmee, Florida and attended the Public Schools of Osceola County. Paul enlisted into the United States Army and was trained to be a plumber. After his discharge from the Army, he attended Florida Memorial College. Paul loved music and taught himself to play the keyboard and the flute. “Mr. Fix It” that’s what he thought of himself, because he thought he could fix anything that was or was not broken! He didn’t believe in the “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” Paul was self employed with his many talents. The Lord in His infinite wisdom, deemed it timely to call our beloved Paul to his eternal resting place on Saturday, October 1, 2022. His departure is a deep and personal loss to his family and friends and he will be greatly missed by them all. He was preceded in death by his son: LaMont Ashley; father: Paul M. Counts, Sr.; paternal grandparents: Reverend and Mrs. Fredrick and Lucille Sneed; maternal grandparents: Whitfield and Annie Barrington; sister, Paulette Counts; brother, William Rackard. To keep him alive in loving memory: Mother, Dorothy Barrington Stewart; step-son, Daymond Welch; Brothers: Mark Rackard, Delano Rackard and Thomas Copeland; Sisters: LaBarbara Dhaliwal, Sonya Rackard, Venus Rackard, Maggie Walthour, Paula Counts, Cynthia Graham and Shawanna Spivey Hines (Randall); fiance’, Patricia Anderson bka: Linda; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends. “If You Could See Me Now” If you could see me now, you wouldn't shed a tear. Though you may not understand why I'm no longer here. Remember my spirit, that's the real me. I'm still very much alive, oh, if you could only see! I've beheld our Father's face. I've touched my Savior's hand. The angels all rejoiced as I entered the Promised Land. Beyond the gates of pearl, I walk on golden streets. I’ve touched the walls of jasper, dipped my foot in the crystal sea. The beauty is beyond words, nothing can compare. I’ve even seen your mansion, someday I will meet you there. Allow Jesus to be your guide, His word will show you the way, So please, don’t cry! We will meet again someday. With love, Paul
