Mildred Christine Martin Daniels

Mildred “Christine” Harris, 61, was born August 14, 1959 in Orlando, Florida to the late Raymond Harris, Sr. and Mildred “Katie Mae” Harris. Mildred affectionately known as Christine, graduated from Mt. Dora High School in 1977. In 1981, she enlisted into the United States Army and proudly served as a Specialist E-4 until 1989. Christine was a devoted and loving mother, grand-mother, daughter, sister and many were blessed to call her friend. Given her many hats, she also served her community faithfully for over 25 years as a Hospice Home Health Aide. Her caring and compassionate nature left an unforgettable impact on many of her patients. She was an active member of Shady Grove Apostolic Church under the leadership of Mother Mildred Harris, where she served proudly and faithfully as the Youth Director, Youth Sunday school Teacher, Usher and Church Clerk until her transition. Christine was a phenomenal woman, whose passions included witnessing and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, gardening, traveling and sports (especially Lebron James). Christine was an inquisitive learner who loved to learn about the world around her, rather it be research, history, arts, African American culture or social injustice. Andrews, Sr. (Reverend Donna) of Leesburg, Florida, Raymond C. Harris, Jr. of Mt. Dora, Florida and Tyrone Harris (Lydia) of Heidelberg, Germany and Michael B. Fashaw (deceased) (Belinda) of Yahala, Florida; Sisters: Renay Harris-Johnson and Angel Steadman, both of Mt. Dora, Florida; Godson, Horace Walton of Eustis, Florida; Goddaughter, Charity Carrington of Leesburg, Florida; Uncle, Manuel Harris of Eustis, Florida; Aunts: Ann Harris, Virginia Dailey (Sam), Christine Harris, Dorothy Rolle (Leo) and Barbara Polk, all of Eustis, Florida; Grandchildren: Arianna Blackwell and Journi Kerber; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing relatives and friends.
