Mr. Michael Wilburn Moore

Michael Wilburn Moore was born April 21, 1961 to Robert and Gladys Moore. Michael was baptized at an early age and became a member of St. James AME Church until moving to Atlanta, Georgia where he later joined Greater St. Peter AME Church in Jonesboro, Georgia. He attended Milner Rosenwald Academy, Eustis Middle School and was a 1979 graduate of Eustis High School. After graduating from high school Michael joined the United States Armed Forces and was honorably discharged after serving for several years. He was employed with Golden Gem Growers for several years. While employed with Golden Gem Growers Michael had an interest in public service. He enrolled in the Lake Technical College Law Enforcement program and upon completion he joined the City of Tavares Police Department, where he received a letter of commendation for showing courage and surrendering his position of safety in order to prevent innocent civilians from being harmed. After serving on the Tavares Police Department for several years Michael moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he formed his business, Moore Transportation, LLC. He later worked for Mashburn Deliveries as a warehouse manager until his demise. Michael was a dedicated father and loved his family. He cared deeply for his friends and always stayed in touch. He was one of the founders of the Villdale Park Family Reunion. Michael passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Moore and sister, Tracy Moore. Michael leaves to cherish precious memories to his devoted and loving fiancé, Sandra McKnight; three daughters, Marsha Carr (Sean) of Atlanta, Georgia; Michaen Moore of Jonesboro, Georgia; Michaela Moore of Atlanta, Georgia; one step daughter, Donia McKenzie of Jonesboro, Georgia; one stepson, Deroland McKenzie of Leesburg, Florida; father, Robert Moore of Mount Dora, Florida; one sister, Diana Anderson of Eustis, Florida; three brothers, Stanley Moore (Grendy) of Fairburn, Georgia; Eric Moore (Erica) of Alpharetta, Georgia; Jason Scott Valencia of Santa Clarita, California; one step brother, Stevano Jones of Brooklyn, New York; god brother, Ricky Taylor of Mt. Dora, Florida; two grandchildren, Dallaeni Coble and Jaxson Frank of Jonesboro, Georgia; two aunts, Loretta Carter of Tavares, Florida; Cleta Mae Moore of Lakeland, Florida; one great uncle, Robert Monroe of Eustis, Florida; five great aunts, Mildred Wallace of Eustis, Florida; Vera Deleveaux of Maitland, Florida; Evelyn Porter of Poughkeepsie, New York; Rosa Blocker of Eustis, Florida; and a host of loving nieces; nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
