Martha Elizabeth Davis

Martha Elizabeth Patrick was born on November 22, 1937 in Umatilla, Florida to Charlie and Flora (Inmon) Patrick. She attended Umatilla Southside Elementary and Eustis Vocational High (EVHS) School in Eustis, Florida. Martha Patrick married Allen Davis on May 22, 1958. To this union three (3) children were born. Martha was employed by Charlie Johnson Builders (Carl and Cheryl Ludecke) for over 30 years. She began her Christian walk at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church under Reverend Scrivens. She later affiliated herself with the Church of God Umatilla where she served faithfully, untiringly and humbly as President of the Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Finance Committee and Mother’s Board until she went to her eternal home in glory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Davis, Sr.; son, Allen Davis, Jr.; daughter, Barbara J. Davis; her parents, Charlie and Flora Patrick; brother, Charles Patrick. On February 26, 2020 at 7:34 am the Lord called Mother Davis from her earthly home to her new home in glory. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Mother Davis leaves to cherish precious memories to: daughter: Wanda D. Walker (Reginald) of Umatilla, Florida; two step daughters: Ethel Young of Eustis, Florida and Alice Johnson of Eustis, Florida; grandchildren: Marcus A Davis, Sr. (Keyia) of Tavares, Florida, Craig J. Davis (Erin) of Clermont, Florida, Arnitra S. Davis of Lake Nona, Florida, Reginald T. Davis of Jacksonville, Florida, Bianca L. Heveran (Brandon) of Winter Haven, Florida and Reginald C. Walker, II of Umatilla, Florida, Chris Jones, Cedric Wilkerson, Brittany Scott, Ernest Mikell, Raven Woods (Clifton), all of Eustis, Florida, Shalondra Young of Atlanta, Georgia, Nicole Brooks Walker of North Augusta, Georgia; eight great grandchildren: Marcus Jr., Devyne, Kayden, Allanna, Zoie, Reginald, Jr., Kyren and Cruz; god-daughter: Shekia Whiley, of Austin, Texas, ; two sisters: Shirley Bean (Willie) of Mt. Dora, Florida, Beatrice Williams (Clarence) of Eustis, Florida; one brother: Leroy Patrick (Pat) of Ft. Pierce, Florida; two brothers-inlaw: Benny Davis (Sharmaine) of Umatilla, Florida, Rollie L. Davis (Noreen) of Hartford, Connecticut; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
