Marilyn Louise Miller

Marilyn Louise Miller was born on May 8, 1957 in Orlando, Florida to Mary Lilly Manuel and Louis Miller. She was the fourth child of six siblings. Marilyn was raised in Winter Park, Florida. She attended Webster Elementary School. After completing elementary school, she attended Winter Park Jr. High School and graduated in 1975 from Winter Park High School. Marilyn received her degree in Child Care Development from Seminole Community College. She begin her working career at Rosenwald Middle School to assist students with disabilites. She would further her career at Lake Mary High School. After working for over 30 years, Marilyn retired, but her love for students would not let her stop working. She received a part time job working with students with disabilites until she returned back to Lake Mary High School with her students, whom she loved and enjoyed. Marilyn was a faithful member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Park, Florida. She was a member of the Women's Ministry and helped in the kitchen. Anyone who knew Marilyn knew she was a very private person but always willing to help others in need. She enjoyed shopping with Rachel and one of her besties Mrs. Andrea Gordon and listening to gospel music. Marilyn always gave us the best of herself. She was the mother hen of the family. She always checked on each of us to ensure that we were well. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her Marilyn was preceded in death by: grandparents, Walter and Cora Manuel; father, Louis Miller; mother, Mary Lilly Manuel; brother, Clarence Emanuel, Sr.; sister, Cynthia Bell; and brother, Larry Miller. Marilyn leaves to cherish her memories: three siblings, Rachel Miller of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Paula Miller of Orlando, Florida, and Mark Miller (Telva) of Kissimmee, Florida; uncle, Richard Miller (Annette) of Killeen, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. A Special Thanks to Mrs. Andrea Gordon, Mrs. Barbara Lomax, cousins, Hope Sneed and Gloria Riggins-Watkins; Kenny Hall (next door neighbor - other brother and Hazel). Thanks to the Watson-Hudson family and Morse family, Kissimmee families, and all of the church members who called to check on Marilyn.
