Linda Hope Rogers Salmon

The Beloved Linda Hope Rogers Salmon, Faithful Christian, Devoted Mother, Servant, Sweet Friend, and Confidant was born April 21, 1950, to Johnnie Rogers and Florida Mae Hines in Pittsburgh, Texas. She was raised in LA County, California. Linda was second in a succession of eight children. Linda found Christ as a small young girl skipping to Catholic school. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior shortly thereafter. Subsequently, instilling the same within her own family for years to come. In 1983 she wed, and by way of marriage, she moved to Apopka, Florida in 1987. There she found her living water, her home church, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Through the years she served in positions supporting the Youth Choir and Hospitality. In addition to her faithful and dedicated service to The Lord and The Body of Christ, Linda was employed for a multitude of years with Orange County Head Start in Nutrition and Education. She retired from there after serving hundreds of three and four-year-olds. To add, she also retired from Walt Disney World, after years of transporting thousands of exuberant tourists on the daily. Her commitment to serving was unwavering, serving children, foreign families, schools, churches, and souls of plenty. The ripple effect is forever astounding. Linda Hope Rogers Salmon demonstrated great eminence in serving, fortitude, piety & fear of The Lord. To know her, was to love her & to be swept into an all-encompassing warmth, amusement, and unconditional acceptance. Best said, Linda gleamed the softer side of God. Beloved Linda Hope Rogers Salmon, Faithful Christian, Devoted Mother, Server, Sweet Friend, and Confidant, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, hearing, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant" and reuniting with her loved ones and close friends. She was preceded in death by: Son; Shun De’Ron Rogers; Father, Johnnie Rogers; Mother, Florida Mae Hines, Brothers: Kim LaMark Hurndon and Zachery Paul Henderson; and Sister, Bridget Long Roulette. She is survived by her 3 Daughters: LaDonna Rochelle Hawkins (Jessica) Lowell, MA; Katriona Lakesha Shavon Salmon-Pagan (Louis) Brooksville, FL; and LaTweika Alexandria Talaya Salmon-Trejo (Elvis) Windermere, FL; Siblings: Robert Askew, Wanda Jean Rodgers, June LaGail Leonard, Pamela Cherry Tillman, Veronica Penny Sanders Grandchildren: Ashley Rogers, Jasmine Rogers, Samuel Ramsdell, and Paul Ramsdell; 15 Great Grands; a devoted Friend, Shelia Orr; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
