Ms. Lexanna Slaughter Jones

Lexanna Slaughter Jones (AKA) Joann, was born November 5, 1940, in Little Rock Arkansas. Born to the late Earnestine Booker and Will Slaughter. She later moved to Tipton, County Tennessee where she attended school. Later in life, she moved to Tangerine, Florida where she worked in the nursing field as a nursing assistant. She chose this particular career because she enjoyed working with people, with close attention focused on the elderly. Everyone who crossed paths with Joanne knew that her love for the Lord was unsurpassed. Everywhere she went, she took every opportunity to tell someone about how good God is. Her favorite saying was "God is good, and very good". Joanne loved everyone she spoke to; she called them all family. She never turned her back on anyone, whether, its a place to stay, food to eat, a hug or just a kind word. You always felt better after talking to her. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grands, great-grands, and great-great grands. Even up to the time of her departure, she always had time to share with them. Joann has touched multitudes of hearts and will be missed by many. Her legacy will continue to live on in those who loved her. May she rest in peace until we all meet again. A host of great-grands and great-great grands.
