Pastor Johnnie Mae Hughley

Johnnie Mae Jones was born on August 19, 1929 in Enterprise, Florida to Lem Jones and Lucille Jones. She attended Barbara County School System in Alabama. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was baptized in the holy ghost. She later met and married Frank Hughley, Sr. on June 10, 1951 in Apopka, Florida. To this union five children were born, two sons and three daughters. Frank, Sr. preceded her in death on June 1, 1992. She loved God so much and kept herself busy with her ministry. She traveled throughout the State of Florida doing prison ministry. She was in the prison ministry over 15 years where she ministered to the hurt, lost and broken-hearted. She ministered throughout the streets and held tent revivals, through her ministering many souls were saved and delivered. She was a faithful prayer warrior. In 1996 she was called into pastoralship of Temple of God’s Mission; where she pastored for seventeen long years. She had a heart for children and volunteered in the grandparent program for seventeen years where she helped them with their work, read books to them, disciplined them, but most of all she loved them. Pastor Hughley was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hughley, Sr., parents, Lem and Lucille Jones, brothers, Johnell Jones, Willie Jones, Jr. and KC Jones. Pastor Hughley leaves to cherish precious memories to: children, Christine Clements of Orlando, Florida, Frank Hughley, Jr., of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Mary Lene Tinsley (Bruce) of Zellwood, Florida, Evelyn Lene Hughley of Orlando, Florida and Calvin Hughley of Sodus, New York; siblings, David Jones (Pearl) of Mt. Dora, Katherine Taylor, Elizabeth Jones, Elaine Cannady, all of Mt. Dora, Florida and Leroy Jones (Juliette) of Ocoee, Florida; grandchildren, Tyrone Clements of Orlando, Florida, Tamara Davis of Ocoee, Florida, Michael Clements of Taledaga, Alabama, Tamitria Anderson of Orlando, Florida, Ariel Tinsley of Apopka, Florida, Loretta Cannon of Orlando, Florida, Artavious Dennison, of Apopka, Florida, Ashia Rouse of Leesville, Louisiana, Nakaysha Baker of New York, Rashad Hughley, James Hughley, and Thaddeus Williams, all of Apopka, Florida; twenty-one great grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
