Ira Dean Brown

With loving hearts, we celebrate the beautiful life and cherished memory of Ira D. (Williams) Brown, who peacefully entered eternal rest on April 26, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on June 13, 1957, in Belle Glade, Florida, Ira was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Powell Williams and Mother Curlie B. Williams. Ira received her education through the public schools of Osceola County and proudly graduated from St. Cloud High School with the Class of 1975. After graduation, she embraced adulthood with strength, joy, independence, and a heart full of love. A devoted woman of faith, Ira faithfully served the Lord throughout her life. She was a dedicated member of St. Cloud A.O.H., where she worshiped under the leadership of Pastor Annie Bowles, Reverend Wade, and Overseer Amedie Delaine. She later continued her spiritual journey as a faithful and loving member of Family of Grace Ministries International under the leadership of Pastor Joan Ewen. Ira brought warmth and joy to every service, often leading devotion with heartfelt praise, contagious laughter, and genuine love for God and people. Ira was known for her strong work ethic and loyalty as an employee of Mercury Marine in St. Cloud, Florida. Beyond her work, she found joy in life's simple pleasures — relaxing while watching boxing and UFC matches, listening to gospel music, especially The Jackson Southerners, and traveling whenever she had the opportunity. Most of all, Ira treasured her family, friends, and community, always giving of herself with kindness, generosity, and love. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jacob Long; her beloved parents, Powell and Curlie B. Williams; her son, Nicholas Brown; and her sisters, Lona Ruth Williams, Winda Gay Williams, and Annie Pearl Williams. Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, Ira leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her: SHE LEAVES TO CHERISH HER PRECIOUS MEMORIES: HER LOVING DAUGHTER: Umecika L. Neal-Williams (Torrence); TWO DEVOTED SONS: Oliver Brown (Jessica) and Tron Brown; TWO BEAUTIFUL GRANDDAUGHTERS: Naquita and Natalia McMillons, all of St. Cloud, FL: FOUR CARING BROTHERS: Roosevelt Gaines of Narcoossee, Florida; Danny Williams (Evelyn) of Narcoossee, FL; Powell Williams Jr. of South Carolina; and Lenard Williams (Peggy) of Conyers, GA; TWO LOVING SISTERS: Karen Williams of Albany, GA and Sophia Cosby (Gerald) of Winter Garden, FL: Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and sorrowing friends who will forever hold her memory close. SHE ALSO LEAVES BEHIND CHERISHED LIFELONG FRIENDS: Diane Ponto, Mary Velez, Alice Eady, and Pastor Joan Ewen, whose lives were richly blessed by her friendship and love. Ira's beautiful spirit, radiant smile, unwavering faith, and loving heart will continue to shine rough all who were blessed to know her.
