At a young age, the family relocated to Florida and settled to make Apopka, Florida their new home. He attended Apopka High School, graduating in the class of 1976. Harold loved the Lord with all of his soul. He was a loyal and faithful member of First John Holiness Church in Apopka, Florida under the leadership of Bishop Johnnie L. Wright, where he was also ordained as Deacon on March 2, 2014. Harold also served in Solomon Lodge #53 in Apopka, Florida for 14 years. Harold was a very driven person. Later in his life, he embarked on a career as an electrician. He worked for many years providing electrical services throughout the Apopka community and abroad. Harold also served as the Master Electrician for the Marvin C. Zanders Funeral Home, Inc. He had a special love and compassion for funeral services and spent countless hours helping out in any way he could. Harold was very helpful and did not limit himself to electrical work. He would assist the funeral home in many facets, as he served as a Male Attendant, part of the removal team, as well as Miss Zanders’ personal chauffeur and security guard for well over 20 years. Harold’s crowning achievement was his family. He was a WONDERFUL and AMAZING FATHER to his children. He was a devout family man and took pride in spending quality time with his wife, children, and especially grandchildren. He was very outgoing and known to make others laugh, keeping things lively with his “trash talking” skills. Harold also loved to cook and enjoy a good meal with family and friends. On May 27, 2000, Harold married his loving wife, Tabitha. The two remained inseparable until his passing. Harold was preceded in death by his Father, Allen Jones; Mother, Mary Alice King; Brothers: Anthony Jones and Steven Jones, Sr.; and Grandson, Cornelius Johnson, Jr. Left to cherish his memory…His loving and devoted Wife, Tabitha Jones of Apopka, FL; his beloved Sons: Harold Jones, Jr. of Apopka, FL, Marquise Jones of Daytona Beach, FL, Khalil Jones of Apopka, FL, Anthony Jones of Tavares, FL, Marcus Griffin (Latoya) of Apopka, FL, Demario Clark of Apopka, FL, and Quadrae Clark of Orlando, FL; his loving Daughters: Nikita Jones of Daytona Beach, FL, TaChaundra Jones of Apopka, FL, Masheca Griffin of Apopka, FL, Lakeisha Poole of Orlando, FL, and Shakeana Clark, of Orlando, FL; as his Sons: Joppa Bridges of Apopka, FL, Charles Griffin (Felecia) of Tampa, FL, and Jordan Jones of Apopka, Florida; as his Daughter, A’Lani Corbitt of Altamonte Springs, Florida; Aunt, Dorothy Jordan of Apopka, FL; Father-in-law, Willie Poole, Sr. of Apopka, FL; Brother-inlaw, Gregory Poole of Apopka, FL; Sisters-in-law: Linda Jones of McClenny, FL and Princess Poole of Ocala, FL; Godmother, Juanita Black of Orlando, FL; 13 Grandchildren, 2 Nieces, 3 Nephews, Great Nieces, Nephews; and a host of other loving relatives, friends, and his Zanders Funeral Home Family.
