The Beginning of His life The joy of life for our beloved Hardy C. Jones, Jr. began on March 26, 1950. He was the second child born to Hardy C. and Lessie Mae Jones in Apopka, Florida. He was also the pride and joy of his grandfather, Dazzie Orr, who affectionately named him “Sporty Boy”. During His Life Hardy attended Orange County Public School and at an early age he worked in the citrus industry with his grandfather. He later relocated to Newark, New Jersey, where he graduated top honors and received a full ride scholarship to the Prestigious Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Hardy worked for A & P Bakery before transitioning into a different career with the airline industry. He retired in 2002. He met the love of his life Darling Holiday and was united in holy matrimony in 1978. To this union three children were born. He was not only a father to his biological children, but a father to every child, and family member he encountered. Hardy was blessed to have strong Christian values through his parents and grandparents. After returning to Orlando, Florida he found a church home at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church. He was devoted to his church serving as a member of the Usher Ministry and Parking Ministry. Throughout his life, Hardy enjoyed sharing time with his family and friends. No matter who he came across, he always had encouraging words, a smile and a joke or two to share. Hardy was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy C. and Lessie Mae Jones and his grandparents, Dazzie and Lula Orr. The End of His Life Forever cherishing his memories, he leaves mourning: a loving devoted and caring wife, Darling Jones; Five children: Tijuana Harris (Jeffrey), Vickie Windham (Curtis), Hardy C. Jones, III, Maurice Jones and Shantia Mclain; Six Sisters, Rose Morris (Dilbert), Victoria Sweptson, Barbara Lane (Herman), Victoria Chance, Dr. Sheryl Jones Dillard, and Jeanette Edwards; Three Brothers, Hardy Jones, Ronald Jones (Doris), Dwight Chance (Rhenay); One Aunt, Margaree Orr-Raiford; Fifteen Grandchildren, Ashley, Alysia, Jeffrey, Craig, Miles, Jalen, Zaniya, Maxwell, Emoni, Amya, Hardaisya, Kristin, Kirsten, Ryelle, and Maurice; One Great Grandchild; several nieces, nephews, cousins a host of other relatives and sorrowing Friends
