Georgia A. Carroll

Georgia A. Carroll was born on October 20, 1942, in Quincy, Florida to parents, DC Carroll, Sr., and Evelena Nelson-Carroll. She attended Gadsden County Public Schools and graduated from Carter Paramore High School. Georgia was a woman who loved God with all her heart and was never ashamed to praise Him. She was a gifted singer who found joy in singing wherever she had the opportunity, especially in the choir. Her love for music became a ministry in itself, as her songs often brought comfort, joy, and encouragement to countless others. She also loved to dance and celebrate life with enthusiasm and grace. As a faithful Servant of God, Georgia welcomed others with warmth, kindness, and compassion, demonstrating God’s matchless love through her actions, generosity, and unwavering faith. After her love for God, who was first in her life, came her endearing love for her family. She was a devoted wife to her late husband Willie Lewis Hester, Sr., a loving and supportive mother to her children, a warm and generous grandmother to her grandchildren, a sister and family member who valued relationships and keeping family together, and a friend who cherished her friendships and her loved ones deeply. She had a smile and laughter that could brighten any room she entered, making her very presence always welcome among family and friends. Georgia was a constant source of encouragement whose words inspired and uplifted those around her. She was an educated, articulate, and well-spoken woman who carried herself with dignity and wisdom. She was also a very hardworking and dedicated employee of National Linen Services for 14 years, serving with integrity and professionalism. She is a woman whose faith, strength, and resilience left an imprint on generations to come. Her life was a living example of grace, perseverance, strength, and unconditional love. Georgia A. Carroll was preceded in death by her father, D.C. Carroll, Sr.; her mother, Evelena Carroll; her stepmother, Helen Carroll; her brothers, Arnett Carroll and David Carroll; and her sister, Ernestine Carroll. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Danetha R. Lemmon (Alphonso, Sr.), Sheryl S. Burch, and William L. Hester; her siblings: Fred (Carrie), Earl (Diane), Roy (Mildred), Bernice (Winston) Samantha (Kenneth) Kari (Hector) Kent (Alesia), Tony (Konda), Joe (Mary), and D.C., Jr. (Callie), Helen (William), and Joanne (David); 6 Grandchildren: Alphonso Lemmon, Jr., Rashard Fisher, Travis Jefferson, James Burch, Jr., Brandon Burch, and Kiera Lemmon; 3 Great-grandchildren: Sincere Burch, Malani Francois, and Malakhi Martin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
