Dereck "Antwaun Miles" Cummings II

Dereck Lavon Cummings, II was born in Orlando, Florida on November 28, 1991. He was 1 of 3 children born to Derrick L. Cummings and Tuwanan L. Ware. He was well known by the name of “Antwaun Miles” in the community as well as “D-Rock” and “Pooh Bear”. He was educated in the public schools of Orange County Florida, and graduated from Dr. Phillips High School. Dereck was a loving and devoted father to his children and he was a keeper to his brothers and sisters. He was well known in the community for his brief stint as a rap artist and had a passion for helping the community and involved in various community events as a well- known entertainment promoter and community event organizer. He had a fun-loving spirit, and impacted family, friends, and strangers. His many contributions to the community have been recognized by county and state dignitaries and community organizations, including Commissioner Mike Scott, District 6. He was a powerful voice and community activist for non-violence. Dereck “Antwaun Miles” Cummings, II, took a stance on stopping the violence with his initiative Miles Campaign “Warlando” in which he did a video shoot, spoke on gun violence, and spreading peace amongst his community. He left a legacy to his children to be impactful in the community, to be self- driven, and to love and spread peace throughout the world. It was not uncommon for him to be the life of the party. He lived life to the fullest “All Miles No Brakes”. Dereck was preceded in death by his Great-Grandmothers and Grandfather: Ruthie L. Simmons, Claude and Willie Beatrice Cummings; Uncles: Dwayne Adams and Larime Antwaun Williams; Aunts: Daisy W. Lynum and Shirley Sharpe-Terrell. Cherishing his legacy are his Children: Jah’nyla Cummings, Jalen Cummings (Myeshia Williams), Prince Gough, Pharoah Cummings (Roselin Pierre), Major Phillips, and “baby”- Parris Antwaun Cummings (Silver Alexander); All Miles No Brakes; Mother, Tuwanan L. Ware; Father, Derrick L. Cummings, Sr.; Siblings: Eric Smith, Jr., Dewan Cummings, Demarquis Cummings, Steven Peterson, Brittney Jenkins, (Brandon), A’nitia Greene, Ann Gordon, Alexis Ross, and Mekaela Dungee; Godson: John Thomas, Jr.; Grandparents: Minnie and Larry Adams, (Jimmie Ware), and Celeitha C. Vincent (Phillip B. Vincent); Bonus Mother: Angelica Brown, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and god parents.
