Debbie Lorraine Maye

Debbie L. Maye was born on October 16, 1962 in Rochester, New York, to parents Elder Spencer Wilder and Mother Dorothy Wilder. In her early years, she moved to the sunny landscapes of Miami and St. Augustine, Florida, where she developed a love for community and family. After graduating from St. Augustine High School in 1980, she found her lasting home in Orlando, Florida, where her spirit flourished. As a dedicated wife and mother, Debbie cherished her late husband, Tommy E. Maye II and her two children, Tommy E. Maye III and Dazia S. Maye. Her love for them was a guiding force in her life, and she poured her heart into nurturing them and creating a warm, loving home. Debbie also treasured her role as a grandmother to Tommy E. Maye IV, delighting in each moment spent together and making memories that would last a lifetime. Debbie's parents, Elder Spencer Wilder and Dorothy Wilder, instilled the values of faith, strength and family in their children, which guided her throughout her life. Debbie shared these teachings with her siblings Mary Ann Parks, Bernard Wilder, Larry Wilder, Tony Wilder, her late sister, Beverly Wilder, and her younger brother, Isaac Wilder. She came from a close-knit family and she held dear the connections she made with her immediate family as well as her extended family that included a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom knew her for her generosity and vibrant spirit. For over 30 years, Debbie worked at Grand Cypress/ Evermore where her kindness and professionalism left a lasting impact on colleagues and guests alike. She was not only a valuable employee but also a cherished friend to many. In addition to her career, Debbie had an adventurous spirit and a passion for travel. She loved exploring new places, creating beautiful memories with her family, and experiencing the richness of the world around her. She was devoted to her family and dedicated her last years to serving God and spreading his word. One of her favorite scriptures, Acts 2:38, resonated deeply with her and represented her dedication to her beliefs. Debbie Maye laid to rest on February 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and joy. As we remember her, we celebrate the light she brought into our lives and the unwavering strength she showed to all. Her memory will continue to inspire us to cherish our families, seek joy in every moment, and keep our faith close to our hearts. Maye of Orlando, Florida; Siblings: Mary Ann Parks, of Georgia, Bernard Wilder (Glenden) of Orlando, Florida, Larry Wilder of Orlando, Florida, Tony Wilder (Cheryl) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Isaac Wilder of Orlando, Florida; Grandson, Tommy E. Maye, IV; 8 Nieces: Sheena, Brittany, Mariah, Sophia, Yasmine, Arielle, Lazaria, T; 11 Nephews: Andrew, Avery, Adrian, Tony J., Terrance W., Corey, John, Demetrius, DeAndre, Terrance M., and Isaac Jr., and a host of cousins relatives and friends.
