Chester Woods

Chester Woods was born on February 25, 1955 to Mcarthur Woods and Margaret Neal. He began his early education at Phyllis Wheatley and Apopka Memorial High School. He received his high school diploma from Orlando Tech in 1992. He pursued additional coursework in general education and music classes at Valencia Community College for a few years. He began working for Coca-Cola Foods on March 8, 1977 through December 31, 1996. During his tenure at Coca-Cola Foods he took pride in participating and winning Fork Lift competitions and provided safety training for fellow colleagues. Chester continued his employment at KLM Plumbing Company for many years until he had to leave the workforce due to his illness. Chester had a passion for music and loved teaching drum lessons to interested students. He insisted they learn proper techniques and did not allow for any shortcuts while teaching them. He was a professional drummer for the Zodiac Band, then eventually made the transition over to gospel music as a drummer for the Peaceful Brothers’ Band. During this time Chester accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Chester also had a special love for local rodeos, air shows and an occasional tractor pull. Chester is preceded in death by his parents Mcarthur and Margaret Woods, his brothers, Henry, Calvin and Wilbert Woods, as well as his youngest sister Ernestine Hudson. He leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife of 30 years Cynthia Woods; Three Sons: Marlon Woods, Apopka, Florida; Luther Priester (Jocelyn), Johns Creek, Georgia, Chester McArthur Woods, Orlando, Florida; One daughter, Tylethia Mott, Apopka, Florida; Seven Grandchildren: Maranda Woods, Marlon Omar Woods, Aviance Williams, Alton Williams, Luke Priester, Jackson Priester, and Ava Woods; Six Brothers: Dr. Clarence Woods (Eva Lois) of Eustis, Florida; Walter Woods (Joyce), Plymouth, Florida; Marvin Woods (Myla), Plymouth, Florida; Sister: Gloria Jean Woods, Plymouth, Florida; Special God-daughter: Morgan Star Josey; Best friends: Ola Jones and Harold Hines; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and sorrowing friends.
