Anthony A. Belfon

Mr. Anthoney Augustus Belfon, also known as “Toney”, a native of Clozier, St. John's, Grenada, was born October 15, 1977, to parents John Belfon and Vena James. He was raised in Grenada. There, he was an Avid soccer player and became the country’s youngest player on the soccer team. He also became a boxer for sport. Later, as a youth, he moved to live with his aunt in England for many years before emigrating to Palm Coast, Florida, to reside with his grandfather. In the early 2000’s he relocated to Lake Mary, Florida, where he met the love of his life, Lashonda. The two built a life together and remained inseparable. Toney was an amazing, loving, and supportive father to his sons. Being a father was the most important role and meant everything to him. He took time to train and expose his children to as many things in life as possible. He would cook for them daily and support his wife in parenting them with love and balance. He was also the neighborhood “fix-it dad” to all of his son’s friends and neighbors. Toney never forgot his humble beginnings. It was the times of his youth that shaped him into the man he was to so many others. He loved helping others. He took great pride in being a “serviceman” in every sense of the word. He enjoyed having, for the simple pleasure of giving. Helping others was his hallmark, as he served as the “go-to” person and jack of all trades. “Free Ninety-five” was his favorite phrase because he often did not charge others for the many tasks he assisted them with. Another example of his generosity was that he would ride his lawn mower and cut ALL the yards in the neighborhood, which was a welcomed surprise to neighbors. He enjoyed everything motorcycles, especially riding motorcycles, so much so that he joined the M109 Motorcycle Club and would take to the open road. Even after losing his leg in an accident, he continued riding motorcycles. He also passed his passion for motorcycles on to his sons. For many years, he was self-employed as a skilled and reliable handyman. He was always tinkering around, working with his hands, gardening, and working on cars. Toney, never had idle hands. He loved his motorcycles and spending quality time with his family. Toney was a great friend to everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted Wife, Lashonda Webb Belfon; Three Sons, Aaron, Akiah, and Azion; Father, John Belfon; Mother, Vena James; Siblings: Nadia Belfon and Danier Belfon-Teka, Glenda Griffith and Neil Smith; Mother-in-law, Myrtice Webb; Brothers-In-Law, Gideon Teka and James Griffith; Aunts Erona (UK), Leslie (Trinidad) and Francis in (Grenada); Nieces and Nephews, Akera, Arnold, Aldon, Arden, Adriel, Adrion and Aundrej (USA and UK); and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, other loving relatives and many sorrowing friends. and neighbors.
