Andra Bynum Thomas

We gather to celebrate and remember the life of our beautiful, beloved Andra Bynum Thomas, 78, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Andra passed away peacefully at Advent Health Hospice Care on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. She was a native of Winter Park, Florida, born August 31, 1946, to the late Lenwood Bynum and Rose Charlton Bynum. She was also preceded in death by, Lawrence Christopher Grey, who was raised like her brother. Andra's early education was at Hannibal Square and Webster Elementary Schools. She attended Hungerford High school in Eatonville, Fl, but graduated high school fromBoggs academy Keysville, Georgia in 1964. She continued her education at Florida A&M University. Andra retired after working many years in the home care industry in the Winter Park Community. Andra spent several years traveling the roads and spending quality time with her beloved husband Ken, connecting with family and lifelong friends. She was a loving, caring, compassionate, warm-hearted and stranger, greeting everyone with a genuine hug and blessing. Andra loved God and was rooted in Christ at a very young age. She was a lifelong and dedicated member of Ward Chapel AME Church. She served God joyfully singing his praises, giving her tithes, time, and talents.She was a choir member throughout her life, and she enjoyed working with the youth at Ward Chapel. Andra, a loving wife and mother, is survived by her cherished husband, Kenneth A. Thomas; daughter, T-La Lowery; granddaughter, Tori Dunnigan; Aunt, Tina Ingram; Uncle, Ernest Manning; cousins, Lawanza Charlton, Orlando, FL, and Janice Charlton Zanders (Russell), Rolla, MO.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wilks; her extended family, Joslyn Schanck Cooper (Gregory), SC, George P. Schanck, III (Wanda), Brandon, FL, Jayne Schanck Babcock, Orlando, FL; special friend, Johnnie Williams; and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and BeyBey. Andra's life will not die, but will live on in the hearts and memories of all those who knew and loved her. "May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant." Psalm 119:76 "ABSENT FROM THE BODY, NOW PRESENT WITH THE LORD. GONE, BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN."
