Albertha Viola Annabelle Daly

On Sabbath, August 24th, 1935, on the beautiful island of Salem, Monserrat West Indies, the first born of Herbert & Mae A. E. Daly was born. Albertha Viola Annabelle Daly was a beautiful treasure. They cherished their first baby girl, showering her with love while preparing her for service to the Lord. Annabelle was a loving, kind, and rambunctious child. Her parents could always depend on her to do the right and just thing. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and sharing the love of Jesus with others. No conversation was complete without her sharing her testimony and encouraging the listener to trust in God and lean into His strength. She was born into a Seventh-Day Adventist home, and at an early age chose to give her life to Christ. Annabelle was baptized at New Carmel SDA Church, in Salem, Montserrat. She was a diligent student, who loved to read, sing and memorize Bible verses and hymns. As the first born of nine children, great responsibilities and sacrifices fell on her. Annabelle was indeed her mothers helper, assisting with the care and well being of her siblings. She taught them to love the Lord as she read the Bible and sang hymns. She was passionate about education and ensured that her siblings excelled in their studies, which made them the fine men and women they are today. Annabelle had a unique interest in health. She treated her body as a temple of God and refrained from eating or drinking anything the Bible states as unclean or detriment to her health. She got married and started a family of her own. To that union five loving children were added, Vaughn, Charlene, Denise, Barry and Keith. She taught her children to love and serve the Lord, just as she did her siblings. Annabelle nurtured and made many sacrifices for them and was fortunate to see them all excel. She made sure her children were educated in every way. Their memories of her teachings are priceless. The family migrated to Apopka, Florida on March 1, 1974 in search of a better life. Unable to complete her nursing studies while in Montserrat, she decided to work at Florida Living Nursing Home, now AdventHealth Care Center. Working to be the hands and feet of the Savior, with compassionate care she nurtured and provided for her residents for over fifteen years. She then went on to work at Florida Hospital South, now AdventHealth Hospital, as a Central Supply Technician. Prior to her retirement from the AdventHealth system, she continued to minister to her coworkers and developed many lifelong devoted friendships. The family attended Mt. Olive SDA Church where Annabelle served as Sabbath School Superintendent, Usher, Deaconess, Sabbath School Teacher, Treasurer and more. She was a dedicated, nurturing and proud Grandmother who loved and cared for her grandchildren. In return, her grandchildren adored her. She taught them just as she did her siblings and children, of the importance of loving the Lord and honoring Him with their life. During the period of declining health, her strength in God took higher grounds. She administered hope through her words, songs, and prayers. Always reminding others to be faithful, serve the Lord and prepare for His soon return. Annabelle was born on the Sabbath and returned to her Lord and Savior on Sabbath, Saturday, August 13, 2022. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and youngest brother Herbert “Herbie” Hollister Daly. She leaves to cherish her legacy, her Children: Vaughn Daly, U.S. Army Ret. (LaShaune) of Apopka, Florida, Charlene Jones of Apopka, Florida, Denise Daly-Stennis of Gainesville, Florida, Barry Daly, Sr. (Lacretia) of Gotha, Florida and Keith Daly (Porsha) of Apopka, Florida; Fourteen Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren; Seven Siblings: Orville Daly (Clarissa), Dr. Reginald Daly (Dr. Camille), Claude Daly, Dr. Lanval Daly, Aidleth Smith (Victor, Sr.), Dr. Edris Daly Gordon, and Eloise Carter; Twenty-five Nieces, Twenty Nephews, and host of other loving family & friends.
