Tony Barnum, Jr.

August 20, 1937 - April 27, 2022

Tony Barnum, Jr. was born August 20, 1937 in Parrott, Georgia to parents, Tony Barnum, Sr. and Kattie Mae Barnum. Tony lived in Terrell, Georgia where he attended Georgia Public Schools until 1959. He then oved to Plymouth, Florida and resided there. In the early 1970’s, he relocated to Syracuse, New York and began his career in Medical Health Services for many years until his retirement. After retiring, Tony moved back to Florida. As his health began to decline, he resided with his niece, Rushie Armstrong until his passing. Tony was baptized at an early age. He had an unforgettable smile and laugh and his word was truly his bond. Tony was preceded in death by his Wife, Virgina Barnum; Father, Tony Barnum, Sr.; Mother, Kattie Mae Barnum; Daughter, Betty Barnum; Brother, David Barnum; Sisters: Mary Sapp, Katherine Robinson, Pearlie Mae Pickett, and Essie Mae Burks; and Grandson, Roddrick Holmes, Jr. Left to cherish his memories: Sons: Johnny Barnum (Linda) of New Britain, Conneticut, and Alfred Davis (Sheila) of Hampton, Virginia; Daughter, Andretta Prince (Melvin, Sr.) of Apopka, Florida; Siblings: Glazella Collier of Dublin, Ohio and Janie Mae Houston (James) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Special Friend, Bessie Pope of Syracuse, New York; Special Nieces: Rushie and Redetha Armstrong of Apopka, Florida; Special Nephew, Russell Sapp, Sr.; 5 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
