Petrina Yvette Gwinn

May 27, 1965 - March 5, 2022

Petrina Yvette Gwinn was born May 27, 1965 in Pahokee, Florida to parents, Melvin and Rosemary Gwinn. She was educated in the Chicago Public School System, attending Thomas Scanlan Elementary and then Percy Julian High School, where she graduated in 1983. Petrina was blessed to have children, Ebonie (38), Breaun (34), Stephanie (31), and Lashanti (22). In 1997, she met James Williams, with whom they shared one child, Lashanti Williams. They remained together until the very end. In the late 1990’s she pursued a career in driving buses, earning her CDL and driving for Kickert Bus Line and Flying T. Charter along side her father. After moving to Florida, she found pleasure in traveling with family and friends to various tropical places such as the Bahamas and Mexico. Petrina accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She attended River of Life Church prior to her illness. Petrina was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Gwinn, Sr.; sister, Levelle Denise Gwinn, and brother, Melvin Gwinn, Jr., and two of her best friends, Janet and Angela. A lifetime of love and cherished memories linger in the hearts of her Spouse, James “Jimmie” Williams of Orlando, Florida; Mother, Rosemary Gwinn of Orlando, Florida, 3 Daughters: Ebonie Barnes (William), Stephanie Harrison, and Lashanti Williams, all of Orlando, Florida; only Son, Breaun Gwinn of Los Angeles, California; 5 Grandchildren: Jordan Gwinn, Donta Gwinn, Antania Adams, Jamour Barnes, and Harmony Harrison, all of Orlando, Florida; and a host of other loving family and friends.
