    Mary Louise White

    October 12, 1935 - March 18, 2022

Mary Louise White was born on October 12, 1935, in Shellman, Georgia to Eli Peterson and Ethel Primm Peterson. She was the youngest of her siblings and was educated in the Orange County Public School System. One of Mary’s proudest accomplishments was returning to school at the age of 29, to earn her high school diploma and to obtain a Clerical Certificate at Orlando Vocational School. Mary did this for her own sense of self- accomplishment, while demonstrating to her children the importance of education. Mary accepted Christ at an early age and became a lifelong member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Park, Florida. Having a love for music, she was a member of Choir #2. She truly loved the Lord and encouraged her children and those she encountered, to believe in the only God who can do anything but fail. Her church members affectionately addressed her as “Mother White”. Mary was a loving mother to six children, of whom she loved, adored, and cherished while consistently placing their needs before her own. She will always be remembered for the never-ending love that she had for her friends and family, and for how much she cherished each of life’s moments. One of her favorite pastimes was to sit in the company of loved ones and reminisce about the fondest of memories, never forgetting a single detail. Every birthday, anniversary, or other meaningful date, Mary never forgot to call or send a thoughtful card. As a matter of fact, Saturday mornings, she would make a point to call nearly everyone in her address book to check in on them. She would always say, “You have to love one another and look after one another!” Mary would affectionately say, “I Love You Baby” to nearly everyone she encountered. Mary is preceded in death by her sons: James White and Joseph White; birthparents: Eli Peterson and Ethel PrimmPeterson; parents who raised her: Walter Manuel, Sr. and Cora Primm Manuel; her five sisters and eight brothers; her granddaughter, Cassandra White, and great grandson, LaMarcus Brown. She leaves to cherish the memories of her life, daughter, Evangeline Jackson; sons: Jerone (Louise) White, Ronney (Marcia) White, and John (Sonja) White; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
