February 22, 1977 - May 2, 2021
The sunrise began for LaQuanda Evette Carter on February 22, 1977 in Orlando, Florida to parents, Patricia Brown and Eddie Carter, Jr. She graduated from the West Orange High School, class of 1996. LaQuanda was a very compassionate, intelligent, loving person and mother. Her sons were the joy of her life. Nurturing, teaching and guiding them along the way was of utmost importance. She taught them to respect everyone and to live by the “Golden Rule.” LaQuanda truly loved ALL kids and treated them as her own. She was known as the “Candy Lady”. She truly loved children unconditionally and they loved her. LaQuanda was a member of the Tildenville Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully by singing in the choir, working in the Youth Ministry and the Culinary Department. She leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories to her Sons: Marcus Isom, Jr. (Nicole) of Jacksonville, Florida, Jamar Thomas, Amari Thomas and Jhirmack Flowers; Son-in-Heart, Harold Rasbin, Jr.; Father, Eddie Carter, Jr.; Mother, Patricia Brown; Siblings: Eddie Carter, III (Kiana) Fredrick Carter, Sr. (Tresha), Chasity Carter, Kirstie O’Banner (Samuel), Stacey Holley, Charlene Carter, Gregory Carter, Derick Carter, and Rebeca Andrews; Grandmother, Maxine Holley; Godmother, Annie Ruth Johnson; Uncles: Earnest Holley (Juanita) of Jacksonville, Florida, Alvin Holley (Carolyn), Richard Holley (Heidi) of Mount Airy, Maryland, Norman Holley (Valerie) and Ralph Carter (Barbara); Aunts: Carolyn White (L.J.), Linda Holley, Sharon Holley, Janita Williams, Pauline Carter, Loretha Carter and Cathy Sanders; Goddaughters: Z’ion Kellom, Quiniesha Wright and Trenita Wilcox; True Friends: Timika Chestnut, Apostle Sharron Williams and Tera Hodge; and a host of other loving relatives and Friends.
