Kay Frances Swift

Executive Order in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic...we will only allow 10 individuals in at a time to enter the funeral home/cemetery. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation Kay Frances Swift was born on January 27, 1947 in Cluster Springs, Virginia to Annie Frances Miller and John Henry Miller. She graduated from Mary Bethune High School in South Boston, VA. After graduating from high school, she relocated to Brooklyn, New York; where she pursued employment as a Key Punch Operator at the New York Stock Exchange. She met Eugene Swift, Sr. and they were united in marriage on July 10, 1971. From this union eight children were born. They relocated to Apopka, Florida where she was employed by General Electric. She pursued her education at Career Training Institute in Computer Programming. She gained employment with the State of Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services (HRS). She continued to further her education in Early Childhood Learning. She worked for the Orange County Public School as a Substitute Teacher. She was later employed by several local Daycare Centers and later opened her own Daycare Center, which she worked until her health began to fail. The Lord saw fit to call our beloved to her eternal resting place on July 18, 2020. Her departure is truly a deep and personal loss to her family as well as her extended families, through her employment down through the years, as her loved was displayed in the caring of many children. She was preceded in death by her Mother: Annie Frances Miller; Father: John Henry Miller; Brothers: John Miller, Daniel Miller and Sloan Miller; Sisters: Willie Marie Jackson, Elizabeth Crowder, Pauline Gordon, Ruth Smith and Regena Bouldin; and Granddaughter: Eziya Swift. Kay leaves to cherish precious memories to her Husband: Eugene Swift, Sr. of Apopka, Florida; Children - Daughters: Secret Williams (Kenley) of Mt. Dora, Florida, Scheric Swift Frett (Athlyn) of Mt. Dora, Florida, Shonda Swift of Apopka, Florida and Schenita Swift of Apopka, Florida; Sons: Eugene Swift, Jr., Eric Swift, Sr., Ezra Swift, all of Apopka, Florida, Emery Swift, Sr. (Shelly) of Starke, Florida; Sister: Joan Johnson of Cluster Springs, Virginia; Brother: Lawrence Miller of Cluster Springs, Virginia; Sisters-in-law: Grace Westcarr of Federalsburg, Maryland and Sophia Swift of Fort Worth, Texas; twentyseven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; a host of other loving relatives and friends.
