Ivan Troy Walker

June 23, 1961 - January 23, 2022

Ivan Troy Walker was born June 23, 1961 in Clermont, Florida to parents, Dolly Lockhart-Brandshaw and Daniel W. Walker, Sr. He was raised in Stuckey, Florida by his beloved grandparents, George and Nellie Jackson who were farmers and sharecroppers traveling from Florida to Youngstown, New York to pick apples. Ivan attended Lake County Public Schools while living in Florida and New York Public Schools while in New York. He graduated from Groveland High School and later attended Sumter College. He was also a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Stuckey, Florida. Ivan’s grandparents passed down their family tradition to Ivan. As he got older, he worked his grandparent’s land growing and selling citrus, all while working for Walt Disney World. During that time, he continued to grow and sell some of the sweetest citrus you could eat, right in front of his home on Highway 50. Years later, he met and married the love of his life, Lorrie Goodwine and to their union, their beautiful daughter Alana was born. Ivan was employed with Walt Disney World for 39 years and was an Inventory Control Clerk. There he was honored with many awards and certificates for his outstanding work ethic. On January 23, 2022, Ivan was called home to take his eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his Father, Daniel W. Walker, Sr.; Mother, Dolly Lockhart-Brandshaw; Grandparents: George and Nellie Jackson; and Sisters: Tonya Bradshaw and Joan Walker. Left to cherish his precious memories are his Wife, Lorrie Goodwine-Walker of Mascotte, Florida; Son, Ivan T. Coleman (Ginny) of Leavenworth, Kansas; Daughters: Jocelyn M. Walker of Orlando, Florida and Alana Walker of Mascotte, Florida; Brothers: Sydney Bradshaw of Stuckey, Florida, Michael Walker (Tawanda) of Groveland, Florida, Chuck Walker (Jalesa) of Leesburg, Florida, Spencer Walker (Leonna) of Deltona, Florida, and Dan Walker, Jr. of Groveland, Florida; Sisters: Carla Bradshaw of Stuckey, Florida, Sonya Walker of Mascotte, Florida, Angelia Walker of Groveland, Florida, Elizabeth Cedeon (Ramon) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Jacqueline Ison (William) of Leesburg, Florida, Carolyn Walker and Lenora Montgomery, both of Orlando, Florida; Siblings-in-heart: Tancie Bostic of Orlando, Florida, Regina Penny (James) of Groveland, Florida, Kenneth Miller (Sarah) of Converse, Texas, and Lisa Mckinnon of Atlanta, Georgia; Aunt, Corrine Bradshaw of Webster, Florida; 6 Grand-children: A’mani Elise, Amir Brown, Giavanna Cole-man, Nicholai Weaver, Gabriella Weaver, and Nathalie Weaver; Godchild: Kendrick Collins; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
