Ernest Hughes Woods was born on January 21, 1941 in Millen, Georgia to Jack Woods and Beatrice McCloud. He was an entrepreneur in the Agriculture and Tree Budding Industry. He received Christ in his life and was a member of Saving Faith Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ricardo P. Moore, currently Pastor Bobby Rowe until he succumbed to his illness. Ernest was a Faithful and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was deeply loved by many. Ernest was preceded in death by his father, Jack Woods, mother, Beatrice Woods, brothers, James and Horace Woods, sisters, Jewel Fountain, Lela Woods, Leola Clark, son, Tony Woods. He leaves to cherish precious memories to wife, Alerta Woods of Mt. Dora, Florida; three sons: Leslie Fletcher (Soretta) of Baltimore, Maryland, Pastor Darryl Woods of Mt. Dora, Florida, Nathaniel Woods (Rita) of Mt. Dora, Florida, three daughters: Vanessa Woods of Mt. Dora, Florida, Mary Johnson Gibson (Gregory) of Tampa, Florida and Sabina Woods of Mt. Dora, Florida; grandchildren; great grands; siblings, Walter Woods (Pearlie) of Mt. Dora, Florida, Henrietta White (Dereck) of Mt. Dora, Florida and Letha White of York, Pennsylvania; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
