Devy Ann Jefferson

August 12, 1960 - November 26, 2021

Devy Jefferson was born on August 12, 1960 to Morton "Jeff" and Odell Jefferson, in Bronx, New York. She moved to Maitland, FL with her parents around early 1970's. She received her High School Diploma from Edgewater High School Class of 1977 and she attended Seminole State College, Where she later received her Finance Degree. Devy joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church on January 1, 1990, where she worshipped faithfully. Although he could not be a part of the service on the inside, Devy's dog "Money" had a special place when he joined her for church. He would find a cool spot in the hedges and would patiently wait until church was over. When you saw Money and didn't see Devy, you could be assured she was nearby. She lived and worked as a Property Manager at Hometown Suites in Eatonville, for 14 years, where she met Anthony Grant and they became good friends. Devy was kindhearted and caring to everyone that came in contact with her. She was an advocate for the disenfranchised, always trying to make life better for others. After a brief illness, the Lord saw that Devy was getting tired and on November 26, 2021 he gave her rest. Devy is survived by her step-daughter's Brittiany Massey Layne (Deltona, FL) and Shealynn Massey (Maitland, FL), four grandchildren, three godson's Dontae Shapenher, Jed Matthews and Jalen Giles, one godsister Lashendrea Patrick (aka Shane), brother-in-law Glenwood Anderson (aka Pookie), and good friend Tony, all of Eatonville, FL. She was a loving and caring friend and will be missed by those who knew her. May God bless her and take her under His wings.
