William Jerry Drake

William Jerry Drake, age 57 died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. William passed away on August 18, 2022 in the comfort of his home. William was born on July 23, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois, to Jethro Drake and Stella Jeanette Allis. He also had an older sister, Veronica Drake. He graduated from Carver Area High and then went on to receive an Associates Degree from Morris Brown College in 1991. He enlisted into the U.S. Army Reserves for four years. He furthered his education by receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management in 2010, from the University of Phoenix. He also obtained a plethora of certifications and trainings as well. William worked for the Walgreens Boots Alliance Company since 1990, where he held numerous positions up to his most current role as a Director of Pharmacy and Retail Services. He represented the Walgreens Boots Alliance Company and sat on the Board of the Ronald McDonald House. He was a mentor for his team, his peers as well as his family. William Jerry Drake was happily married to his beautiful wife, Sheeren Drake. He was a very devoted and caring husband, son, father, grandfather, family member and friend. His favorite things to do was traveling especially while cruising. His favorite pastimes, all revolved around music, movies, and trivia. William touched so many lives with his humorous and infectious personality. He loved a good party with good music. He enjoyed being around his family and friends. He had compassion for people and helping others. His generosity and kindness was infectious and he always believed in putting others first. William will always be loved and cherished by his devoted wife and family. FOREVER AND EVER PLUS ONE DAY. He was preceded in death by his sister, Veronica Drake and his daughter, Tina Jeanette Drake. William is survived by his Wife, Shereen Drake; Daughter, Carissa Drake; Sons: William Joshua Drake and Marquis Lyndell Randolph; Grandsons: RJ and Langston; Granddaughter, Anyla, and a host of other family and friends whom he loved dearly.
