Wayne Alton Pollock

To those who knew him, Wayne was the very definition of love and strength. He was a true embodiment of the Marine Corps motto, Semper Fidelis. His family meant everything to him, and he gave us the gift of his unwavering support, tough love, and guidance. He had a heart that was bigger than most, always ready to lend an ear, offer a helping hand, or share a laugh. His love for his children was immeasurable, and he taught us more than we could ever express, from life lessons to the simple, yet profound, joy of just being together. As a father, he was our rock — the one we turned to for wisdom, reassurance, and a sense of peace. His lessons were harsh sometimes, especially as young teenagers, but his love was evident. His encouragement gave us the courage to chase our dreams and the confidence to believe in ourselves. He celebrated our successes, lifted us through our failures, and, most of all, loved us unconditionally. His office of music was the safe place where we could always find comfort, and his smile was a reminder that we were never alone. A proud United States Marine, Wayne served his country with honor and distinction. His time in the Marines shaped the man he became, instilling in him a sense of duty, discipline, and loyalty that he carried with him throughout his life. He faced challenges with the same courage and resilience that defined his military service, and his commitment to others never wavered. The values of service, sacrifice, and honor were integral to who he was, and they continue to inspire all who knew him. In addition to his military service, Wayne was an accomplished musician whose love for music brought beauty and joy to everyone around him. Whether playing bass, piano, or simply sharing his love of a good song, music was a part of his soul. His talent was not just in the notes he played, but in the way he used music to connect with others, create memories, and express emotions that words alone could not capture. Through his music, he left behind a legacy of creativity and passion that will continue to echo in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to experience it. Beyond his role as a father, Wayne was a man of integrity, warmth, and generosity. He made lasting impressions on everyone he met, whether through his sense of humor, his acts of kindness, or the strength of his character. He had a way of brightening any room with his presence. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Wayne is now at peace, watching over us with the same love he always gave. He may no longer walk among us, but he will forever live in our hearts and memories. Wayne is survived by his mother (Barbara Pollock), his three brothers (Ricky, Clyde Jr, and Darrell Pollock), his sister (Deborah), his son (lan Ross) and his four daughters, (Ashleigh, Amber, Anna Pollock and Ella Metcalfe- Pollock), In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALS research organization — a cause dear to Wayne's heart.
