Vernell Kemp

Vernell Kemp, attectionately known as "Susie" , was born on November 24, 1956, in Winter Garden, Florida, to Blease and Minnie Dinkins. She attended Maxey Elementary School and furthered her education at Wymore Technical School. Atter graduating trom high school, Susie pursued her caree in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) She was passionate about helping others and providing compassionate care to those in need. As a CNA, she enjoyed supporting patients with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and making a positive difference in their lives. Susie became a Christian at an early age and faithfully served in various ministries at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland, Florida. She was actively involved in compassionate ministry work and dedicated her time to serving others. After relocating, she Joined New Inspiration Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Garden, Florida under the leadership of Reverend Dr. David Harp, Sr., where she continued to grow in her faith. Susie loved fishing and was an excellent angler. She enjoyed spending time outdoors finding peace and relaxtion on the water. Fishing brought her great joy, and she took pride in her skill and patience, often sharing memorable fishing experiences with family and friends. Susie loved her family and friends immensely. She cherished the time she spent with them and was known for her caring, generous, and loving spirit. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. She was preceded in death by her father, Blease Dinkins; mother, Minnie Dinkins; brothers, Vernon Diggs and Marion Diggs; and sisters, Sadie Jackson and Janice Kemp. Left ton cherish her memory…her loving daughter, Letta C. Montgomery of Orlando, Florida; her sister, Betty Smith (Robert) of Orlando, Florida; Aunt, Mary Woodard of Orlando, Florida; 4 Grandchildren: Kenneth J. Hawthorne, Jr. (Sykia), Kevin Hawthorne, Keith Hawthorne (Tyanna), and Kendrick Hawthorne, all of Orlando, Florida; 7 great-Grandchildren: Kamiya Hawthorne, Kameron Hawthorne, Kannon Hawthorne, Kieora Hawthorne, NiNi Hawthorne, KJ Hawthorne, and Bugg Hawthorne; goddaughter, Konswella Purham; best friends, best friends, Gloria Jean Devose, and Arrene Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.
