Ulysses Willis

Ulysses Willis was born March 19, 1984 in Orlando, Florida to parents, Eugene Boyd, Sr. and Mazelle Boyd. He attended West Orange High School and graduated in the class of 2002. Upon graduating high school, Ulysses went on to join the United States Army. He was a proud member of the United States Military earning a Purple Heart. He also earned so many other badges and served in special forces while in the military. He served 11 years in the Army and received an honorable discharge upon his retirement. Being a fighter from day one, Ulysses was born premature. He was a very loving, kind, giving and supportive son, father, brother and uncle and made a lot of friends wherever he went in the world. He would give you his last if you needed it. His love language was gifting, as he was a very giving person. He was always a man that stood on his word and if he said he was going to do something, he would do it. His mom and dad, would always tell him, “any father or mother would be proud to have him as a son”. Them saying this meant the world to him. He was indeed a blessing on this earth and to the many people he met along the way…he will always be their blessing. His career in the military afforded him the opportunity to live his dream and travel all across the world. Living a life constant travel and seeing new things, and meeting new people was the highlight of his life. He always talked about the people he would meet all around the world. Ulysses was loved very much by so many people, but especially by his parents, and his sisters and brother, his two sons, his daughter, and all the other family members and friends. On Thursday, February 29, 2024 the Lord dispatch a special angel, Ulysses Willis back to Heaven’s gates. Left to cherish his precious memory…Sons: Malik Ulysses Willis and Ali Willis; Daughter, Jamilia Willis; Father, Eugene Boyd Sr.; Mother, Mazelle Boyd; Brother, Eugene Boyd Jr.; Sisters: Lakeisha Willis and Tamika Willis; Maternal Grandparents: Ella Mae Willis and Oille Willis; Paternal Grandparents: Sammie Colbert and James Boyd; Uncle, Lazelle Willis; Aunts: Wilma Preston, Lisa Jones, and Bernice Dozier; Cousins: Shirley Willis, Latasha Preston, Anthony Willis, Sebastian Willis, Maurice Willis, Willie Preston, Jermaine Preston, Floyd Jones Junior, Savannah Jones, Ronnie Willis, Richard Willis, Louise Willis, Diane Willis, Amy Willis, Andrew Willis, Robert Willis, Christine Coleman, Jonathan Dozier, Jennifer Dozier, Zelman Dozier, Jr., Kimberly Dozier, Dan Peterson, and Sabrina Brown; and a host of other loving relatives and friends who will treasure the gift of his life and miss him dearly. We love you and we miss you and one day we shall meet again.
