Sharon Kaye West

Sharon Kaye West was born the only daughter to Richard Lee West and Kathleen Clark-West on July 23, 1976, at 2:20p.m. on a Friday, at Orange Memorial Hospital in Orlando, Florida. She graduated with her diploma from Eustis High School in 1995 and continued her education at Lake Technical Center and Southern Technical College. Sharon was a free spirit and loved life and everything about it, including life’s challenges - Sharon took them head on with optimism and fervor. She had never been one to hold anything back, and her family and friends loved her for it. Sometimes, that fervor showed up in the form of blunt honesty, which was her unique way of letting people know exactly where they stood with her, and she was admired for that quality in her. Sharon lived her life honestly, gentle and kind, and she loved hard. She did everything in her power to be there and support the people who mattered most to her, In other words, Sharon had a good and compassionate heart and was good natured. She was an avid reader and loved the Harry Potter series among many other book genres. Family was very important to Sharon, and she was an ardent recipient of family traditions. She was a loving and doting mother. Sharon was a spiritual woman who had a keen sense of God’s presence in her life. She was always in a state of growth, and was an ardent believer in self and never stepped back to accept that there were aspects of her life, that could not be improved. When Sharon became chronically ill and was no longer able to administer self-care, she was compelled to enter a long-term care facility where she was visited often by caring family members and friends. The facility is also where she met and was ministered to by Reverend Bartell Coleman, Sr. Sharon enjoyed Reverend Coleman’s visits, as he would talk and pray with her, sing and administer communion to her, which he continued to do right to the day she died. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Richard West. Sharon leaves to cherish precious memories to her two devoted Sons: Codi Dominic West (Kayla) of Eustis, Florida and Raymond Louis Jones, Jr. of St. Petersburg, Florida; loving Mother, Kathleen West of Eustis, Florida; Brothers: Paul Reed (Johnny Mae), Frederick Reed, David West, and John West, all of Georgia; Granchildren: Shane West and Braylon West, both of Eustis, Florida; Uncles: Carl Clark (Mattie) of Sorrento, Florida, Eddie Lee Clark, Jr. (Elmaree) of Zellwood, Florida, Roger Clark (Linnie) of Orlando, Florida, Donnie Clark (WillieMae) of Fort Pierce, Florida, Albert Clark of Orlando, Florida, Melvin Clark (Yvonne) of Eustis, Florida, and Lloyd Walker of Atlanta, Georgia; Aunts: Marcia Lynette Clark of Eustis, Florida, Gwen Marie Clark (Charles) of Orlando, Florida, Lillian West, and Vivian West, both of Riceboro, Georiga; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
