Samuel Lewis Hill

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust.” ~Psalms 91: 1-2 A Time to Be Born On August 1, 1968, Samuel L. Hill was born to Robert Lee Hill Sr., and Marilyn Walker. A Time to Plant Sam was born and raised in Sanford, Florida. Sam was the youngest of 5 siblings. Sam was very competitive as a child and had an infectious laugh that would light up a room. Sam was affectionately known as “Skeeter”. In his earlier years he worked as a construction worker. Skeeter lived a life without limitations in no way of striving to please others but, to live life his way. Skeeter was known for his gritty attitude and demeanor. A Time to Love As the years progressed, he moved to Orlando, Florida. He was later blessed with the birth of his 3 children: Cameron Burns, Samaria Fitzgerald and Samm Hill. He loved his children & family dearly. If you knew Skeeter, the love he had for his sister Sherrie was unconditional. He would tell everyone “That’s my sister.” His daughter Samm Hill wants to leave a message to her father “I love you & I will miss you dearly.” A Time to Laugh “I aint lying, I’m telling you I aint lying” one of his infamous lines. Skeeter had such a way of lighting up a room. Laughter and joy is the settled assurance that God is in control of all the details of life, the quiet confidence that ultimately everything is going to be alright and the determined choice to praise God in every situation. So in this we will always remember him for all those many laughs and moments we won’t forget. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Hill Sr. and Marilyn Walker, two siblings, Tracey Cox and Timothy Jamison AKA Pokey, grandparents, Annie Ruth Hill and Ester Cole. Sam leaves to cherish precious memories to his Children: Cameron Burns, Samaria Fitzgerald and Samm Hill; Siblings: Sherrie S. Lewis (Kenneth) and Robert L. Hill Jr. AKA Mannie; Special Niece: Chelsey Simpson; Special Nephew: Aaron Simpson; Great Nephews: Adrian Simpson and Christian Bryant; a host of other nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
