Reverend Rodtha Robinson

On January 11, in the year of our Lord, 1931. A son was born to Mr. Albert and Epsie Robinson, they smiled upon the face of their middle born son and named him Rodtha Robinson. As a young boy, Rodtha attended Clinton Valley Elementary and Shallow. Rodtha had a drive to succeed at a very early age, he moved from Notasulga, Alabama to Apopka, Florida where he met Ms. Mae Willie Miller and from that union they had a daughter Gayle. Rodtha then moved to Syracuse, New York. He started working with the Central Regional Transportation where he drove a city bus for over 20 years. During his time in Syracuse he met and married Idelia Dunham, from that union they had a son, Terrance Robinson. Rodtha later confessed his call to the ministry where he was the founder and pastor of New Zion Church of Deliverance. He was called by God into the Pentecostal Denomination. Under his Pastoralship he started the first Outreach Ministry in his area. Reverend Robinson spent the remainder of his Servitude until his health began to fail. Reverend Robinson accepted other responsibilities and worked hard instilling the Word of God in others. Many of you may remember Reverend Robinson as an Independent Consultant of Tahitian Noni now known as Morida where he worked his way up as Jade Rep. one of the lead positions. Later Rodtha moved back to Apopka, Florida where he met and reunited with a long time friend Mary Ann Taylor they were married. Latter years passed Rodtha moved to Atlanta, Georgia, he remarried Idelia Robinson. Oh what a joy when the Lord said at 1:28pm Tuesday, February 3, 2015 “Come hither my good and faithful servant”. At that time Reverend Rodtha Robinson reached the end of the road of life and entered into the heavenly gates of eternity. His memory will linger with us forever. Oh what happiness his children and family felt, happy because of the many mansions awaiting him in his Father’s house. We will always remember him for these words echoing in our hearts. “Super fine getting better all the time” and “I can’t help it.” Rodtha was preceded in death by his wife Idelia Robinson, parents, Albert and Epsie Robinson, sisters and brothers, Mary Lois Kirk, Lucille Hughley, Annie Lou Sistrunk, Rosie Fields, Ernest Robinson, Harden Robinson, Jerry Robinson, Jim Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Johnnie C. Robinson, Albert Matterson. He leaves to cherish precious memories: His loving and dedicated children, daughter, Gayle M. Sinclair of Orlando, Florida; son, Terrance Robinson of Syracuse, New York; stepdaughters, Claretha Brown of Apopka, Florida, Patricia Dunham of Syracuse, New York, Lillian “Debbie” Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida, Janette Smith of Syracuse, New York; stepsons, Roy Cook of Syracuse, New York, Robert Cook (Juliet) of Plymouth, Florida, Alec Dunham of Syracuse, New York; eight grandchildren, Katrina K. Miller of Orlando, Florida, Koryan Rivas of Houston, Texas, Kirsten and Melanie of Slinger, Wisconsin, Eddie R. Sinclair of Orlando, Florida, Krystal Reddings (Jemal) of Orlando, Florida, Avery and Asia Robinson of Killen, Texas, Isis Robinson of Syracuse, New York; one sister, Annette Ashford; fourteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
