Deacon Robert Lee Badger

Robert Lee Badger of Mt. Dora, Florida was born in Allendale, South Carolina on March 20th, 1937. He was the youngest son of James and Eletha Badger, who preceded him in death. He transitioned from this life on Friday, February 20th, 2026 from labor to reward. Robert will be remembered for his dedication to God, his love for his wife and family, his sense of humor and ever-present laughter. He enjoyed traveling with his wife (especially cruising), watching action movies, and playing a good game of UNO with his entire family. Robert's deep and unwavering love for his family and friends made him a pillar of strength in his home and in his community. Robert faithfully served as a deacon and a trustee in the House of God Church for over 60 years. His labor of love will always be remembered, as his name is eternally engraved into the cornerstone of the two churches that he unselfishly sacrificed in assisting to build. He also eagerly transported people near and far in the church van for over 30 years. Robert leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories: His loving wife of 54 years, Ethel Mae Badger; four sons, Arther Lee Fraizer (Debbie) of Brooksville, Florida, Robert Jerome Badger (Judy) of Dade City, Florida, Antwine Otis Christopher Badger (Angela) of Phoenix Arizona, and Brandon Kyle Badger of Mt. Dora, Florida; three daughters, Marilyn Marie Badger Stephens (Johnnie) of Apopka, Florida, Lesser Annette Badger Keyes (Ronnie) of Fort Washington, Maryland, Celita Joyce Badger Jaggernauth (James) of Jacksonville, Florida and he has been a life changing father to 783 other children that also knew him as 'Dad'; eight siblings, Lucius Badger (Geraldine- deceased) of Brooksville, Florida, Johnnie Roberts (Lorraine) of Spring Hill, Florida, Otis Badger, deceased, Bertha Ralph, deceased (John, deceased), Florida, William Badger, deceased (Phyllis), Ann Strong, deceased (Kenneth, deceased), Ella Cole, deceased (Jimmie, deceased), Louis Haygood, deceased (Nora, deceased); thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. He will be forever remembered by all that had the privilege to know him.
