Patricia Jean Jackson

Pat (Patty) Jackson, 53-years-old, died on Sunday, June 1, 2014 in the care of Gilbert Mercy Hospital, Arizona. Pat had a valiant fight with Rheumatoid Arthritis since 2007. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through. Pat was born on January 9, 1961 in Eustis, Florida to L.C. and Arrie (McNair) Meekins, both preceding her in death; she was also preceded in death by her oldest sibling Stanley McNair, she was the 2nd oldest of 5 siblings. Known for her passions of hospitality, and most importantly serving God through her angelic voice and several ministries throughout the church. She possessed a contagious smile and a heart of gold. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and humble demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. Her signature gifts of cooking and baking have warmed the stomachs and hearts of many and will never be forgotten. After graduating from Mount Dora High School (Mt. Dora, FL), she completed a 2 year tour at Brockport University (Brockport, NY), and worked as an insurance administrator. She married her Sweetheart, Tommy Jackson, June 11, 1983. Married for 31 years, Pat & Tommy raised their 2 dear children, Tiffany and Brandon in Rochester, NY; with a 3 year tour in Ft. Collins, CO. A woman of faith and the heart of the Jackson family, Pat shaped her children’s childhood through her Christian example, discipline, and displays of hard work. Pat also loved spending time with her Grandchildren, chatting with friends and family, and travel…just to name a few. She leaves to honor and cherish her precious memories to Husband Tommy; Children Tiffany (Andre) of Atlanta, GA, Brandon of Pittsburgh, PA; Grandchildren Jasmine & Andre Jr of Atlanta, GA; Sisters Kathy Meekins of Rochester, NY, Cynthia Meekins of Los Angeles, CA; Brother Lenny Meekins of Mount Dora, FL; Uncles Augustus McNair (Marva) of Jacksonville, FL, Eldridge McNair (Alma) of Los Angeles, CA, Alphonso McNair (Joanne) of Gardena, CA, Keith McNair of Mount Dora, FL; Aunt Eleanor McNair Nichols (Paul) of Deland, FL; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, God children, and other relatives and sorrowing friends.
