Deaconess Ozella Ingram Johnson

Deaconess Mother Ozella Ingram Johnson was born on August 9, 1930 to Lester and Annie B. Ingram in Edison, Georgia. She met and married Willie Fred Johnson in December 1948 and to this union (7) seven children were born. At an early age she joined Enon Missionary Baptist Church of Coleman, Georgia, she served there until she and her family moved to Florida in 1952. One year later in 1953, she became a member of Tildenville Missionary Baptist Church in Tildenville, Florida where she served faithfully as a Deaconess, she also served faithfully for 45 years as the president of Choir #1 until the day of her passing. Mother Ozella was employed by the West Orange County Head Start Program for twenty-eight years until she retired in 1995. Five (5) years later in 2001, she went back to work for ten years with the Orange County Sheriff as a Crossing Guard until November 2010. She has been a long time advocate for the people of the community of Tildenville, Florida, she spent thirty-eight (38) years of being a past matron of Heroines of Jericho. A loving life has been brought to a close on Monday, February 26, 2018 when Deaconess Mother Ozella Ingram Johnson was called to her heavenly home. Mother Ozella was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Willie Fred Johnson, parents, Lester and Annie B. Ingram, sister, Louise Ingram Whisant, son, Bobby L. Johnson, grandson, Mauri Grimsley, granddaughter, Kara E. Johnson, great-great granddaughter, Racquel M. Isom. Mother Ozella leaves to cherish precious memories to six children, Willie Ruth Grimsley of Rochester, New York, Edward Johnson, Sr., Carolyn Johnson, both of Tildenville, Florida, Larry Johnson (Karen), Annette Johnson-Lipson and Angela Johnson, all of Winter Garden, Florida; twenty devoted grandchildren, Eddie, Tangela (Anthony), Marcus, Talisa, Issac, Tiesha, Alphonso, Jr., Kameron, Michael, Meagan, Harry, Gloria, Miranda, Quinton, Ebony, Robert, Krystal (Chris), Chanelle (Kwame), Ashannie, Kourtney; fifty-two (52) devoted great grandchildren; (4) devoted, great-great grandchildren; two (2) special nephews, L.B. Ingram and Lee Allen Bryant; three (3) devoted cousins, Ella B. Henderson and Mary Nell James Hines and Elgin Cummins; like a brother, David Lauriston; three (3) devoted friends, Theo Francois and Mrs. Zera Rodgers and Mrs. Amanda Booker; one brother-in-law, Henry Johnson; two (2) sisters-in-law, Anna R. Walker and Dorothy Jones, all of Edison, Georgia; two (2) devoted Musicians, Obough and BJ; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
