Mrs. Naomi "Thelma" Robinson Bassa

Naomi Deloris Baldwin was greeted in the earthly realm with open arms on March 8, 1950 by her beloved parents David and Emma Lee Baldwin. The introduction took place in Saint Pauls, North Carolina; a small town in Robeson County. Naomi began her education in the Robeson County Public School System, she continued her learning in the Lake County Public School System, in Central Florida. On October 27, 1972 Preston J. Robinson initiated his vow of love to Naomi that was honored until his passing. During more than 20 years of marriage they raised their children together in unity, sacrifice and unconditional love. She later met and married Robert B. Bassa whom also loved her faithfully until his demise. The personal relationship that Naomi maintained from her childhood with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was boasted in her demeanor. She served with gratitude and enthusiasm, her vibrant spirit has touched the hearts of so many especially those under her leadership at God’s House of Worship where she was the Senior Pastor and Chief Servant until being promoted to her next assignment. Naomi was always willing to help her family, friends and the community at large, in any way possible. Her nurturing spirit reached well beyond her family. She would oftentimes open the doors of her home to strangers that needed a place to stay, and would feed them naturally and spiritually. Naomi served as the Rock Lake Neighborhood Association, President. She was also a member of the West Lake Economic Opportunities Council. She was a Chaplin for Orange County Corrections and the Michigan Street Work Release Center. Naomi was an Ambassador for Citrus Sports, and she worked in collaboration with Lift Orlando and MVP Families. In addition to all the above she made the time to provide catering services for various events and occasions throughout Orange County. Naomi evacuated her interim physique and entered her eternal rest to be with Our Heavenly Father Above and other loved ones that have gone on before her on March 4, 2017 at 1:01am. All that have been impacted by her legacy felt a deep personal loss after learning of her sudden departure. Naomi leaves to forever cherish her precious memories Seven children; Three Sons: Byron Robinson, Cedric Robinson, and Lincoln Robinson (Claudette) all of Orlando, Florida; Four Daughters: April Rawls (Lonnie Jr.), Atlanta, Georgia, Katrice Coleman of Ocoee, Florida, Vicky Johnson and Catherine “Peaches” Robinson both of Orlando, Florida; Ten Step-Children; 57 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; One Brother: Albert Baldwin (Helen); Altamonte Springs, Florida; Three Sisters: Mattie Clark (Carl); Sorrento, Florida, Doretha Blount and Brenda Burgess (Michael) both of Orlando, Florida; One Brother-in-law, Willie Robinson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Three Sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Lewis of St. Pauls, North Carolina, Ann Little (James) Sally Harris (Willie) both of Homestead, Florida; A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Godchildren, and mourning Friends.
