Affectionately known as “Mike” he was the youngest of him and his brother Norris Dix, Jr. Mike grew up in a large family full of cousins, uncles, and aunts. He was an active member in the youth functions at the United Church of God by Faith. He attended Edgewater High School and graduated from a local Winter Park school. Mike loved riding his motorcycle up and down the streets of Eatonville. Michael was an entrepreneur. He and his brother were the closest of friends and were passionate about their business, Florida Sunshine Windows and Doors. He exemplified a spirit of help. No job was too big or small. He loved accepting challenges and was always fixing things. Michael became a father in 1998 with the birth of his son Michael L. Grimes and later married Tiffany Grimes in 2001. He found love again and later married Rickea Sinclaire Dix and to this union was blessed with another son Jeremiah Dix in July 2015. Michael loved spending time with his sons, Michael, and Jeremiah. He always supported Michael’s multi-talented musical aspirations encouraging him to go as far as he could go, and Jeremiah's athletic dreams were dear to his heart. He was excited when Jeremiah won a championship ring for his participation in a youth football league. Michael was a quiet and peaceable person who had recently rededicated his life to Christ. He will be deeply missed by his survivors and those who will cherish his memory: Sons: Michael L. Grimes of Orlando, Florida and Jeremiah Dix of Orlando, Florida; Mother and Father: Jacquelene and Norris Dix, Sr., both of Orlando, Florida; Brother: Norris Dix, Jr. (Geneva); Mother of His Son: Rickea Sinclaire Dix of Orlando, Florida; Nephews: Ja’Norris Dix, Elijah Dix, and Isaac Dix, all of Orlando, Florida; Uncles: Joseph Dix of Gainesville, Florida, Julius Dix (Wanda) of Eatonville, Florida, David McMillan (Sherry) of Augusta, Georgia, and Ronnie Tate (Norma) of Albany, Georgia Aunts: Claretha Dix and Cathleen Green, both of Orlando, Florida, Rebecca Bush of Apopka, Florida; Longtime Partner: Jasmine Francois; Godbrother, Corey McCall; Godmother, Dorothy McCall; and a host of other cousins and sorrowing friends.
