Mr. Michael Jermaine Cook

Michael Jermaine Cook was born on March 26, 1974 to Annie Maude Cook and Jimmy Lee Dillard. He was the youngest of seven children. From the day Michael entered this world, he was destined to be superior. He was an excellent, loving, committed honorable husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and mentor. Most importantly, Michael was a Man of God. Michael graduated from Wymore with honors academically also excelling in football and basketball. Participating in sports became Michael's absolute love, enabling him to earn a scholarship to Mt. San Jacinto College in San Jacinto, California in sports. Michael then transferred to Fort Valley University, in Fort Valley, Georgia, to further his education in Criminal Justice. During his studies, he decided to remain and reside in Gwinnett, Georgia. This is where he met and married his wife of fourteen years and started a family which included four wonderful children, which he loved and adored. He then relocated to Baton Rough, Louisiana where his life continued to thrive. Michael began a career in Property Maintenance Engineering in which he also excelled in. Michael led several properties in reaching and exceeding their goals as he was committed to providing excellence in anything he set his mind to do. Michael was an absolute outstanding pillar in his community and amongst his family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Maude Cook and Jimmy Lee Dillard, his grandparents, Leroy Cook and Suzanna Kemp; fraternal grandparents; sister, Regina Pugh; aunt, Sara Toley; uncles, Leroy Cook, Earl Lee Kemp and William Kemp; nephews, Darrion Pugh and Terrance Cook. On Wednesday, February 21,2018, God in His infinite wisdom called his beloved son Michael J. Cook home. He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Nichole Cook; four children, Michaelle Cook, Kaliyah White, Redejah White and Dequarious White; three sisters, Stephanie Hughley, Vickie Cook, Terri Cook, all of Apopka, Florida; three brothers, James Charles Cook, Roy Cook, Michael Todd (Alice); two aunts, Frances Dorsey and Willie Mae Dillard; two uncles, John Lee Kemp and Jerome Kemp; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, Bobby Fanell (Gaeyla) and Herbert West; two god brothers, Lewis Simpson (Christine) and Keith Gibbs; and u host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
