She received her early education in Opelika, Alabama. Lula later moved to Apopka, Florida where she furthered her education attending night school at Phyllis Wheatley School, where she received her GED. Lula was employed at Baywood Nursery where she worked 50 plus years before retiring. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for 60 plus, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. H.L. Dericho. She was also a frequent visitor of Freewill Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop James McFarley. Lula was preceded in death by her Parents: Emanuel and Lizzie Bridges; Husband, Oscar Prince, Jr.; Daughter, Frances Prince Bradford; Daughter-in-law, Yvonne Hilliard; Sons-in-law: Amos Bradford and Kenny Massey, Sr.; Grandsons: Elgin Massey, Amos Bradford, IV, Jarquavious Anderson, and Roddrick Holmes, Jr.; Great Granddaughter, Teagan Ware; Brothers: Bobby Bridges, Robert Lee Bridges, Robert James Bridges, Sr., Johnny Bridges, Sr., and Willie Charles Bridges; Sisters: Maple Ingram, Hattie Thomas, and Juanita Collins; Brothers-inlaw: Cartlon Collins and Chester Beckett, Sr.; and Sister-in-law, Mae Alice Bridges. Lula was called home to rest surrounded by her surviving children and her Godson, Associate Pastor Reverend Alexander H. Smith. She leaves to cherish her precious memories…her loving Children: Marcus Prince, Darlene Massey, Marvin Prince, Sr., Melvin Prince, Sr. (Andretta), Sally Campbell, Joseph Anderson, Jr., and Lushell Raper (Anthony); Brother, Lee Otis Bridges (Lelia); 2 Sisters: Mary Beckett and Mae Rose Richmond (Ozell); 2 Sisters-in-law: Laura Alice Bridges and Ruth Bridges Griggs, 30 Grandchildren, 93 great Grandchildren, 24 Great-Great Grand-children, loving Godsons: Reverend Alexander H. Smith, Ronald Hubbard, Dr. Leundray Wright, TH.D., and Laron Cooks; longtime Friend, Rosa Lee Coley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.
