Lee Ester Triplett

She cried unto the Lord with her voice, and He heard her out of the Holy Hill. On December 26, 2019, Lee Esther Triplett, one we loved and knew stepped across the threshold that we call death, but it was only a step into a brand new home. Lee Esther Triplett was born in Hyde Park Community, Wakulla County, Florida on April 4, 1935 to the late Obediah and Ethel Triplett. She was the 7th of 9 children. Lee Esther attended Wakulla County Public Schools, graduating from Shadeville High School. As an exceptional basketball player in high school, she was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to attend FAMU but was not able to attend as planned. Lee Esther moved to Tallahassee after graduating from high school. She received Christ in her life at an early age and joined Thessalonia Missionary Baptist Church. Upon moving to Winter Garden, she joined Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church; now under the leadership of Pastor Clarence R. Taylor. She served faithfully until her health began to fail. During her years in Tallahassee, she worked for several hotels. She later moved to Winter Garden, in the late sixties, and worked with children with varying disabilities. In later years, she moved to Orlando where she worked for Lutheran Towers until she retired. Because she loved and enjoyed children, after her retirement, she began to baby-sit. Lee Esther nurtured and cared for those close to her heart, her family. She always had a listening ear, powerful wisdom, heartfelt honesty and unwavering love. In fact, her home and heart always provided peace, love, support and legendary comfort meals especially at Thanksgiving. She always enjoyed visiting the Bay and traveling with her church and attending spirit-filled gospel concerts in the local area. She leaves in God’s care and to carry on her legacy of love: one sister: Hattie Castell, Orlando, FL; five sons: Ervin Triplett (Marie), Tallahassee, FL, Elder Kirk Triplett (Corine), Sopchoppy, FL, Bishop Anthony Triplett, Chelmsford, MA, Vernon Triplett Hooks, Orlando, FL, James Triplett (Myrah), Gotha, FL, three daughters: Denise Triplett, Tallahassee, FL, Sabrina Triplett, Orlando, FL, Regina Triplett, Orlando, FL; 21 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many loving friends.
