Mr. Kevin Timothy Wright

Kevin Timothy Wright, of Apopka, Florida, departed this life Friday, March 2, 2018. Kevin was born June 24, 1963 to Ann and Jacob Wright in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The Wright Family moved to Pleasantville, New Jersey in the late 70’s where Kevin completed his high school education at Pleasantville High School in 1981. After graduating, Kevin left Pleasantville to join the United States Marine Corp. He served four years and earned an Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal(E-4) in 1987. After leaving the Military Service, Kevin enter the higher education realm. He graduated “summa cum laude” from Devry Institute earning a Electronics Degree in 1989. His pride a joy of graduating with honors was escalated to another level when his Mom drove from New Jersey to attend the ceremony. Kevin continued his educational pursuits achieving a Bachelor of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1996. Kevin’s degrees and experiences landed him employment with Southern Bell which changed to Bell South and lastly to AT&T. He was so proud to be working for a prestigious company. Kevin was a dedicated technician and technical employee for 30+ years. He was looking forward to retirement. Kevin’s enjoyment always included his children Janay and William. He was a true “Proud Papa” when it came to singing praises about them! Kevin also loved music, especially R&B. He would hold private basement disco parties for his children’s enjoyment with all the live special nightlife effects. Go “Club Dad”! He dabbled at singing Karaoke on his home sound system. Kevin loved gadgets, especially innovative electronics things. Kevin’s joy of entertainment included his favorite TV show Sanford and Son. Kevin T. Wright is survived by: daughter, Janay Wright of Stone Mountain, GA, son, William Wright of Pembroke Pines, FL, granddaughter, Amirah Wright, sisters, Ollie Freeman of Atlanta, GA, Jacqueline Irvine (Ronald) of Lake Forest, IL, Sharon Wright of Lake Forest, IL, Patricia Wimberly (David) of Warren, MI and Michelle Smith of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, James “Moon” Stokes of Atlantic City, NJ, Joseph Wright of Romulus MI, John Wright of Buena, NJ, Rubin Stokes of Roanoke, VA, Karl Wright (Kelli) of Bellville, MI, Edward Wright of Independence, MO, Anthony Wright of Absecon, NJ. Kevin has a host of family and friends who will truly miss him.
