Juanita Warren Adams

Dr. Juanita Warren Adams from birth on October 15, 1942 to her death she nourished people around her with love, faith, and education. She was born to Mance and Annie Sarah (DeVaughn) Warren and was the second oldest of six children. She grew up in a musical household of faith, she loved watching her mother, sister, brothers, other family members and friends perform gospel songs for churches across Florida. She was a loyal servant to her Lord and Savior being an usher for many years while attending Carter Tabernacle CME Church in Orlando and Rejoice in the Lord Ministries both under the leadership of Pastor Roderick Zak. She always spoke highly of her church and the members even while laying in the hospital bed she called on and praised Him by saying God is Good Everyday. Juanita was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Teacher. After graduating from high school, she attended St. Petersburg University later graduating from Bethune Cookman College. For over 30 years she worked for Orange County Public School teaching 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. The majority of her teaching career was spent at Bithlo Elementary School. She was very passionate about teaching so came out of retirement to teach at Lions of Judah Academy. In 2016, at the age of 74, she got her doctrine degree in Education at Argosy University. "Auntie Juanita" is what most of the kids called her, if she wasn't watching her favorite soap opera show would be in the kitchen cooking our favorite homemade sweet potato pies, candied yams, mac n cheese, biscuits and bread pudding. She was a soft spoken women of few words, one of our favorite responses from her was "child please". Juanita was preceded in death by: her parents: Mance and Annie Sarah Warren, brother, Carl Warren, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Warren, niece, Sarah Simmons, sister, Dorothy Mae Simmons and sister-in-law, Beulah Warren. Dr. Juanita Warren Adams leaves to cherish her precious memories to: her husband, Walter G. Adams, Sr.; daughter, Tolanda Adams Hunt (Octavius); sons, Walter G. Adams, Jr. (Sonya), Antonio Adams, Sr. (Precious) and Vashion Adams (Tenisha), all of Orlando, Florida; eighteen grandchildren; brothers: Nathaniel Warren, Joe Louis Warren and Charles Warren (Sarah); a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
