Joshua Terrill Johnson

Joshua Terrill Johnson, also known as “JT,” was born on January 22, 1995, in Orlando, Florida, to Willie Johnson and Sheila James Johnson. He was the youngest of five children and the only boy, making him a very special and cherished part of his family. JT was a loving husband, a devoted father, beloved son, brother, and friend. He was blessed with three daughters of his own, who held a special place in his heart. When JT married Dyanie he welcomed her daughter and son into his life and embraced them as his own. He became a father to five. Loving them, caring for them, and creating memories that they will carry with them forever. JT was known for his big personality and even bigger heart. He was kind, funny, playful, and full of life. His siblings would jokingly say that he was both the nicest and the most annoying of them all. He was a big kid at heart. He loved to joke around, laugh, and bring joy to the people around him. JT was passionate about the things he loved most basketball, making money or spending it, good food, and, of course, his shoes. These simple things brought him joy and were just a part of what made JT who he was. He had a way of enjoying life, making people laugh, and turning ordinary moments into memories his family will always cherish. JT was also dedicated to his career, working with TSA at the airport. He took pride in his work and in being able to provide for and protect his family. JT’s life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with cancer, beginning a year-long battle that tested not only his strength but his faith. Through every challenge, he continued to FIGHT! His journey was filled with difficult days, but also with love and precious moments that will never be forgotten. On July 29, 2026, JT’s journey came to an end and he was called home. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared with Dyanie, his children, his parents, siblings, family, and friends will never fade. JT leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love. His children will carry his laughter, his lessons, his jokes, and his love with them throughout their lives. His family will forever remember the little boy who grew into an amazing man. His presence could never be replaced. JT, you fought your fight. You gave love, you made memories, you made us laugh, and you left your mark on our hearts. Your life was a gift and we will treasure your love forever. Rest peacefully, JT. You are forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Joshua was proceeded in death by his loving grandfathers: Eddie James and Willie Brown. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Dyanie Johnson; children: Janiah Johnson, Jalani Johnson, Jayla Johnson, TheeAnthony (TJ) Stewart and Kehlani Stewart; His Parents: Willie Johnson and Sheila Johnson; His Siblings: Jaleesa Johnson, Alexandria Johnson, Camisha (Terrance) Bell, Courtney Johnson and Desi Canet; His grandmothers: Viola Johnson and Laverne James. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
