The Beginning of Life Joshua Augustus Browne was born to Lued Browne and Teresa Simmons on May 31, 1989, in Orlando, Florida. During His Life A beloved Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, and Friend… Joshua grew up in Apopka, Florida and was reared for the early part of his life by his now deceased grandparents, Augustus and Mavis Browne. Joshua attended Clarcona Elementary, Apopka Middle School, and Apopka High School. As a youth, Joshua attended Pentecostal Overcoming Holiness Church with his grandmother. Whenever you saw Mavis, you saw Joshua. Joshua was nicknamed “JJ” by both his aunt Dolly and paternal grandmother, while Maerene and his mother, Teresa, called him “Josh”. Joshua knew God and in his later years, remembered his teachings and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a member of the Sanctuary Choir. End of Life On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, Joshua Augustus Browne, stepped out of time. Joshua fell to unforeseen circumstances. It is not what the family would have expected. It is the prayer of the family that he will rest peacefully from the worries of this world. He was preceded in death by Grandparents: Augustus Browne and Mavis Browne; and Parent, Teresa Simmons. He leaves to cherish his memory, his Father, Lued Browne, Sr. of Orlando, Florida; a Grandmother, Maerene Simmons of Apopka, Florida; Sisters, J’nai Browne, Autressa Simmons, Aldrea L. Simmons, Delores Grant, and Avia L. Jackson, all of Orlando, Florida; Teresa Grant of Washington D.C.; Brothers: Jerrel A. Simmons and Lued Browne, Jr., both of Orlando, Florida; Joel A. Simmons of Washington D.C.; Jahnoi Browne of Tortola, BVI; Aunts: Yvonne Campbell and Ferenie Tinson (Reginald), both of San Antonio, Texas; Claudette Penn of Apopka Florida, Belinda Browne and Glencia Kuntz, both of Orlando, Florida and Angel Beckett of Apopka, Florida; Uncles: Danie Turnbull and Lafette Simmons, all of Apopka, Florida; Harold Creque, St. Thomas, USVI; Algie Simmons of Washington, D.C., Gabriel Simmons of Orlando, Florida, and Cedric Creque of Virgin Gorda, BVI; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many relatives and sorrowing family friends.
